Washing machine machine complaint not attended in spite of AMC

Never buy an IFB washing machine.

The after sales service of IFB washing machines is the worst. My washing machine complaint (1004886006 )is pending with them for the last three months but they are least bothered to attend, though I have AMC with IFB.

Their customer service helpline is not toll free and is useless. It costs you between 15 to 20 rupees per call as you are kept on hold for about 10 minutes to connect with their hopeless Customer Service Executives. These CSE just play the role of intermediaries to pass on your complaint and never follow up the complaint or give any feedback.

The mails to the Customer Service are never replied. The customers are left in lurch as to whom to contact to get the problem resolved.

They are cheaters.
See how they cheat the costumers. Once I had the problem with motor belt of my front load washing machine and I had no AMC. After every two months the belt would crack and the technician used to replace it without ascertaining the reason behind it. After replacing the belt for three times, the IFB technician said that the frequent failure of the belt is due to the shaft of the motor and it is required to be replaced and suggested to take the AMC. After renewing the contract same problem occurred. The technician,this time said that it is not the fault of the motor but of the shock absorbers and he replaced the shock absorbers and the problem of belt failure was solved.

So my sincere advice is not to buy IFB washing machine and turn to the brands with good after sales service.

I am abandoning IFB and would go for LG or Samsung!
