Dear Sir,

Last month on my way to Japan I had a short visit to your country. I landed Kuala Lumpur on 12th April 2018 by Flight No.191 Malaysian Airlines from New Delhi on E Visa eNTRI number ENHCOP421134111707953 issued on 23rd March, 2018 and was valid till 23 June, 2108. After 5 days I was suppose to leave for Japan on 17th April 2018 by Air Asia flight No.522. I arrived at the airport and got my boarding pass and was at Immigration where I was stopped by the Immigration officer and asked to see my Visa. After seeing my eVisa he said that you cannot go to Japan directly. He asked me to read the foot note written on my eVisa. I read that several times but no where it is wriiten there that I cannot go to Japan directly. I told him politely that I have read it several times and it clearly states for Chinese national tourist and no where there is any mention of Indian tourist. He called other officers and they said again whether I can read English or not. I told them I understand English very clearly and I dont find anywhere that I should not go directly to Japan. He said dont argue with an immigration officer and then took me to another senior officer in a room. Same thing I explained to him but he left me alone and came back after 5 minutes and wrote on my boarding pass OFFLOAD and call the airlines to return my luggage. He said I can either go to Thailand, Singapore, Brunei or back to my country. He said this is the rule. I was stunned and I had to rebook from flight through another airlines via Bangkok the next day which gave me heavy financial burden. Please find below is the ffoot note I am copying word by wor from my evisa please let me know if you can read between the words which I could not read.

"Chinese national tourist (holding People's Republic of China Passport) residing in People's Republic of China(including Hong Kong and Macau) must have a direct flight from People's Republic of China(including Hong Kong and Macau) to Malaysia or via Singapore/Thailand/Brunei and must have a direct flight ticket from Malaysia to People's Republic of China(including Hong Kong and Macau) or via Singapore/Thailand/Brunei"

After coming back to India I inquired from several sources and they told me that this rule came into effect from 4th April 2018 where as my visa was issued on 23rd March 2018.
