two weeks in shop and still undiagnosed.

Truck broke down on my first load. It has been in the international shop for two weeks and they still haven't looked at it. Every time I call or stop by I'm given the run around.
I've even heard that they move the more expensive jobs to the head of the line and move everyone else back.
I am disgusted with international's service and product. I'm a new business owner and my business is greatly suffering due to international's negligence and refusal to fix my truck.

Dusted engine

It seems International had a recall awhile back, they changed the air flow piping going into the engine, due to being installed in plastic it is prone to cracking, which could cause engine dusting. Seems when they recalled their trucks they chose as their best solution to confirm these trucks were not dusted, was to do an oil sample. According to Cummins, these are not accurate tests unless they have been done over an extended length of time. According to Cummins the only true way to find out if your truck has been dusted is to do a blow by test or Dyno your engine. With not even a year into purchase of this truck it seems International has removed themselves as being responsible for this issue, as their faulty parts would not have been the reason these engines are dusted. considering they were the main air lines going into these motors.

Mechanical Breakdowns

Wow, all this sounds soooo familiar. Our towing company purchased two new International Dura Stars at the same time. A 2010 and a 2011. Same stuff. Water pumps below 20k. A/C,s junk, Repeated injector failures, EGR coolers failing all the time, high pressure pumps, pressure sensors, parking brake lights, etc. Each and every one of the 20 plus failures on these new trucks has cost us at least a week of downtime at the dealership. I even towed them an extra 40 miles to another International dealership hoping it would come back quicker. No such luck. I paid almost 90 thousand dollars for these junk trucks and my towing company is going out of business because we never have trucks to tow with. My Dodge one ton with a Cummins is the only thing staying on the road. God help me when these things go out of warranty. I will need to dump them at a huge loss and get another brand. PLEASE, if anyone has had better luck with anyone elses trucks please let me know. My company had been running Internationals for 40 years and have loved them. My drivers use to tell me if I bought anything else they wouldn't drive it, but now they hate them. What is this world coming to? Is everything junk now. Are we forced to buy foreign trucks to stay in business? Let me know if you have any suggestions. [email protected]

Mechanical breakdowns!

I am a driver of one of the three purchased by the same company, and it just broke down yesterday. My 2012 duracrap is the worse truck I have ever driven. On 4/3/12 it blew its 2nd high pressure oil line, on 3/7/12 my truck was cruising along and it just shut off, it had 4inches of fuel in passenger side tank and 9inches in driver side tank. The company spoke to 5 star of Lancaster and they believed the truck was out of fuel, well we got fuel and that still didn't fix the problem. Those are just the most recent 2 issues with just the truck that I drive, I can't to believe the level of anger that my company has to deal with 3 nice looking BOAT ANCHORS. If there are any other drivers out there frustrated please voice your opinion, every little bit helps.
