Nicole Schacht

I left this apartment in good terms owing nothing but then when I checked my credit report they said I owed them money so I called them and left several messages to work this out but they did not return any phone calls or reply that I owed them any money. I want this off my credit report so I can rent an apartment. Also I lived at this apartment many years ago so why are they still harassing me. If anything they owe me my deposit of $600.00 back.

TERRIBLE COMPANY

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever been unlucky enough to work with. I had two accounts with them as I lost my job in an apartment complex and had to break my lease. I paid my sure deposit account with no problems at all. The person I had worked with was gracious and helpful. But my other account must be with another department as it's a larger amount. Every time I've called to talk about this account to work something out they are accusatory. Rude. And never helpful. Most recently (today) I called to actually just pay it off and they literally said call back in 5 minutes. What? I called now. Do you want this money or not?!? He tried to cut me off and says 'I need to go.' And I said 'excuse me?!' In a noticeably Then he said well you need to talk to your account and I asked not to speak to this person. Now I've been transferred to another rep who lies to me and says we can't delete your account of you don't pay the interest. I said that is a lie because I already spoke to your company and did this once already. You absolutely can settle this account and delete it. I even started the call telling him how I'd like to get this taken care of but have had terrible experiences with your company so I'm hoping to actually get some help... he continuously cuts me off. Treats me like a criminal. Lol. Didn't I call you?!? It's absolutely insane how this company treats their debtors. They know you have to pay to get it off the credit if you can't wait 7 years. It's honestly crazy though because I would have been willing to pay if you just worked with me. I would have paid sooner! But instead I waited 4 years. Just because I didn't want to be talked down to, harassed, talked over, and berated. The apartment complexes that place these accounts are honestly the most uncaring, soulless companies in the world if you are seeing the lawsuits, reviews and complaints and you are STILL placing with them. Horrified.

Complete Idiocy, Ruined Credit

My apartment complex sent my broken lease to these people. I DO owe them money, but the balance was MORE than I owe (with an email trail confirming this refund and video proof of a clean apt and keys returned to prove it) and the collections company refused to adjust it. So, I haven't paid. I keep requesting that they do. Meanwhile, they have put this on my credit...and it's ruined it.
When I called to make a small payment and sort this out, the people talked over me, were incredibly, incredibly rude, were sarcastic and talked down to me...and insulted me personally. I'd been turned down for a home equity loan because of them and am now on disability because of a head injury. "Why would you even apply for a home equity while you're on disability???" they asked. Seriously? I applied months ago. I got the head injury weeks ago. As if it's any of their business? This has been dragging on for over 7 months. Some lawyer needs to shut this company DOWN.

harassment

I have been reading these statements about Alex Cook and noted that some seem to say she was very professional they worked with and others seem to find her very rude. In my experience she can go either way with things and doesn't seem to realize that when a person has only a limited budget and more than one bill collector they are trying to pay, her attitude can determine which one they work with and which one ends up having to get everything done the hard way whether I like it or not. Their rudeness is not going to change that fact. The other thing is that I think she/they understand more than they let on. They just do not care and think they can get away with it all.

harassment

Another thing to remember that I am mentioning because I am seeing a theme in some of the prior postings. If you get "scammed" with your credit card, the required terms are whatever they were stated to be. If you authorize a card over the phone and the merchant states that a signature will be required to complete the authorization and you never did it, then as far as any later dispute with the bank goes, that is valid cause to dispute as unauthorized should they charge in a way they were not supposed to and refuse to credit back even if you have already given an auth to run it on the phone. Depending on the circumstances it may or may not be an unusual practice as far as the bank would be concerned, but they probably can allow the dispute if it is what the merchant (Alex) decided to do. I think pizza delivery places do the same thing. You can still refuse that pepperoni pizza when it comes to your door if it has nothing but anchovies on it or they never came or they ran it wrong. If they refuse to alter the charge and aren't doing what they should, you dispute it. Remember though, if you actually do owe them the some or all of the money, you will likely have to pay that portion to them or another collector/attorney/court eventually.

harassment

To start off with, I think prior to calling I was in collections with this company for 1600dollars. So, I called them and told them I wanted to come up with some type of settlement or payout. They asked what I was willing to pay I told them $800.00. I was not willing to pay the full 1, 600dollars to a company that screwed my family over in the first place. I was living at the Riverstone Apts.
in Federal Way Washington, their maintenance man sexually harassed me, I reported him, they did not do anything, from that
point on the maintenance fell apart. I tried calling lawyers to help me but, could not find anyone willing to work the renter side
of things. The things that really brought things to a head with these apts is when my bathroom ceiling cracked and started leaking
water into my tub from above. Maintenance came over and did a temp. fix, they told me it is OK, nothing was going to happen, they were doing some repair work above me. They put some plaster up or something. Well, low and behold a week or two later it happened again but, Sheetrock caved into the tub. Keep in mind I have pictures and video of everything. Had I known renters rights, I could have gotten out of my lease because of the harassment but, I was new to Washington state. This company did not deserve my 1600dollars. The only reason I was willing to pay 800dollars is because of a dog, and so called carpet damage. Whatever. We tried to give them a move out notice and they would not accept it. We ended up just moving out, big mistake...should have waited out the lease I guess. So, after offering 800 dollars IQ Data said they could not take that if I wanted it off my credit all together. They then said how about 1200dollars. I said absolutely not and explained to them, these circumstances. So, then Nicholas Rode I asked me what I could pay if they toOK it off the credit and I said 1000 and he came back and said how about 1010. So, I said call it done. Do it. I just want it off my credit to where I can get a better place to rent. These people don't really deserve our money, it has taken a leap of faith to do it but, I am paying it off. I want a cleaner credit report. If it is one less thing on there then so be it. I hate this IQ Data International. Nicholas Rode was very very disrespectful to me and I have not enjoyed a thing about talking to them.
