I pay more for just energy then what my hydro is. They make it sound so good for you to ha e them but all they do is screw you.

Why am I being charged Two REM fees?????
Here's how they are listed on my bill :
REM administration fee- $32.14
REM administration fee- $17.85
Totatal-$49.99
REM administration fee of $.40 on Just Energy 2014 bills
The DELIVERY charge also has gone up- Union Gaas was cheaper!
Transportation to Union Gas ...there's a fee!
It's rediculous all the fees they keep adding???????????

Sir/Madame,

I am an 88 year old pensioner and have been ripped off by this discusting company (Just Enegy) for the last nine years

Nine years ago, I am ashamed to say, I allowed a smooth talking high pressure salesmen from a Company called (Just Energy) to talk me into signing a 5 year contract to supply my Natural gas and Electricity needs. I actually thought, and he kept indicating that he represented Ontario Energy, so how could I go wrong with that?

The very next day, after reading the fine print and realizing how unfavorable the conditions were for the customer, I sent them a registered letter (for which I still have the receipt) informing them that I was cancelling the agreement.

Shortly after this, I was hit with two strokes and had to have major surgery resulting in a long convulesing period, which in turn, caused me to not follow up on the cancelation letter I sent.

Just recently, out of curiosity, on a visit to my neighbor, (whose identical townhouse is attached to mine) I ask if we could compare Electric & gas bills. He still gets his gas and electricity directly from the suppliers, Uniongas and East Ont. Power, as I had previously.

What a shock, to realize how I was being ripped off by this Just Energy scam outfit. Luckily I still have my Gas and Electric bills dating from Nov 6 2013 to the present.

Both my Electic & Gas bills were identical to my neighbor’s bills, with one exception, each of my bills has an extra charge. They are as follows:

On the Eastern Ontario Power bill, the line reads;
Supply by Just Energy $41.19 (Note: This charge varies, usually higher)

On Uniongas bill, the line reads;
REM administration fee $49.99

As stated above, I have been with Just Energy for over nine years, but only have three years of back bills, having discarded everything earlier than 2013. But when I added all these phony charges from the bills I have, it comes to $4,800 I’ve been charged,for which I have received nothing in return.

In effect, what they have been doing, is charging me just about double what I would have paid had I stayed with my original supplier.

How much they scamed me for in the six years prior to 2013, I don't know. It's mind bogleing that there are no Federal or Provincial laws to prevent these crooks from operating their scams. Instead, they tend to blame the victims.

It seems that you can't call and cancel your agreement with just energy, as the agreement states within 3 business days. I called and cancelled my agreement and was told it was submitted but the agent didn't know if it would be cancelled. Now 2 days after supposedly cancelling I still have just energy as my service provider.
