Unauthorized Billing - Fake Free Trial
In April, 2020 I tried a "free trial" on justanswer.com. After having used the service, I decided I had no need for a months service, and certainly not an ongoing service, so I requested to cancel the service during the "Free Trial" time period (as was my option).
I received an email from justanswer.com, and they acknowledged my cancellation request, and sent me a "Ticket Number" for reference. This was on April 19, 2020.
Fast-forward to August, 2020. I noticed a $60 charge from justanswer.com, and I was shocked, having no idea what it was for. I then looked at previous months, and saw that they had charged me $60 a month since April.
I contacted their Customer Support via their "Chat", on their website, and told the Representative that I had requested to cancel this service in April, and, that I still had THEIR letter of acknowledgement of my cancellation request, AND the Ticket Number they sent.
He looked in his database and said "There is no such Ticket Number".
I responded "then that might explain why I've been getting charged. Somebody deleted my cancellation request".
I got no "satisfaction" - despite having sent him the text of their email, and their Ticket Number. He refused to acknowledge either one.
So - that's what they do. You set up a "free trial", request a cancellation within the allotted timeframe, and they send you an email saying they got your request, and give you a Ticket Number - as if they're going to cancel the membership. And then, they just delete the Ticket. And, you get charged month after month because of it.
I've filed a complaint with the BBB, and will be filing a complaint in California, and have filed complaints of a couple of "scam tracker"-type websites.
And, I've filed "disputes" with my bank, which they will take up with justanswer.com
It's NOT a good business to do business with.

charged me despite cancel request
I signed up for a "free trial" at JustAnswer.com. I used the service, then decided I didn't need it for a month, and certainly not on a monthly basis, so I cancelled the "free trial" within the specified time.
I got an email from JustAnswer.com acknowledging my cancellation request, and it included a "Ticket Number".
This cancellation was done on April 19, 2020.
Fast-forward to August, 2020, and I saw in my bank account that I had been charged $60 by JustAnswer.com. I was shocked. I looked at previous months, and saw that I had been charged $60 a month since April, 2020.
I contacted JustAnswer.com, via the "Chat" on their website, and explained to the Customer Service Representative that I had cancelled this service back in April, and I sent him a copy of the text of their email, which included the Ticket Number.
He responded simply saying "we don't have a Ticket by that Number".
I said "well, that probably explains why nobody cancelled my membership - you guys deleted the Ticket".
He just said (basically) "My apologies, but there's nothing I can do for you. I've cancelled your membership as of today".
MY COMPLAINT - if it isn't obvious - is that I requested a cancellation, got an acknowledgement of that request, and got a Ticket Number for reference - and then, somebody just deleted the request, never fulfilling it, and they've charged me a full $300.
And, I'll tell you - for an old retired guy on a fixed income, $300 is not chump change.

Unauthorized billing
Their so called Experts are for the most part totally uneducated. They have mostly people with master's degrees who seem to know nothing. There are a few well educated people with PhD's MD's and beyond. Often many of the so-called experts will just tell someone something to get an accept, otherwise Just Answer doesn't pay them. So the bottom line is don't trust this site because most of them will tell you what you want to hear so they get paid. In some categories that deal with mental health and relationships they have a car mechanic answering questions that have to do with relationships and mental health. One so called expert told the client that she knows how to help them because, she too, suffered from a porn addiction. She by the way has only a BA in sociology. Really, stay away from this site.
