Steals Money and Fake School
I have been a teacher for over 25 years and a principal for over 10 years for the city of Atlanta. I applied several months ago to K13 Education Consultants, and submitted all my applications and they even wanted a copy of my driver's license and social security card (or they would not process my application to be a teacher/tutor). Anyway, I submitted them and then they requested I pay $50 for a background check through a company called hire-right. I never heard of this company before, but they sent me a pay-pal link, demanded I pay the fee and once I paid it and submitted information to hire-right- i never heard from them again. I tried emailing them, but they will not respond. The numbers on the website I called and they go to a voicemail for some women, whom the name matches with whom she claims is the ceo of the company. Anyway. they created this new site called k13 global academy, which is suppose to be an online kindergarten-grade 12 school. I emailed them to find out about it, and this lady emailed me back named Jennifer and said they are in the process of building a k-12 school for public school students. And if i wanted to teach, i needed to submit another application and all the same documents again plus pay for another background check. I am not about to do all that again.
It is clear this K13 is a scam, out to steal money, and nothing more than a rip off diploma mill. I read there site and they will be offering courses through a school that is not sacs approved. Being in education for over 25 years as a teacher and principal, I can tell you this now- any student that pays $4000/yr to go there will not be able to transfer there courses nor get a diploma that is transferable to any college. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY- IT IS BAD NEWS!
Additional homework I completed about this company is that the address they list on there site as a business address, google it and it comes back a residential house. It is not even a real office.
