Borrowed money and hired Kel Attorneys. They dodnt show up in court? And sent a stranger to court but that lawyer told judge to let me defend myself because he knew zero anout.my case? The judge responded by saying it dont matter because KEL FIRM FILED THIS WAY TOO LATE .They filed AFTER the deadline.???? WHY CANT I GET A REFUND? Cause they are lawyers they can rob us???

KEL, Lawyers ASAP, Englett and Associates. Has to be the worse law firm in Florida. They change your lawyers dozens of times drag your case out. You'll never be able to talk to an attorney god forbid you need an emergency court order for your child if something bad happens. Never hire this firm trust me.

Hired them for bankruptcy wish I had read all these comments before paying them, I was told I qualified after submitting all my information several times only to be told that I don't qualfiy. Now I'm being told my refund is only $200 and have to wait 12 WEEKS for it.

HOW TO GET MY MONEY BACK FROM KEL!!? I am a female and KEL is a disgrace! They stole all my money each month from my disability check leaving me with 35.00 a month in my pocket to barely survive going thru a horrible divorce. Nothing was ever done for me, I was eating dirt (figuratively speaking) every day and practically homeless, I lost my vehicle in the midst of this.
I never even met these people at their office, nor had even spoken to anyone. Unless i got lucky when i would call them,while dodging all their lame excuses of why they could not hold a conversation with me or give me any information whatsoever. So, of course I'd have to leave a message on their answering machine. And naturally, i wouldn't get a phone call in return. As long as they got my money from me, that's all they wanted.. But, from the beginning I should've known it was shady when I met a paralegal at a restaurant so she can get my information from me for my bank account! I personally had no experience on how lawyers work. So, I went with the flow, til i hit rock bottom and realized not one single thing has been done for me and this just can't be the way things are supposed to be! With KEL knowing i was at the weakest point in my life, and this was my first divorce and desperate for help, they did nothing but take advantage of my weakness and robbed me blind. They put me through a lot of suffering and sadness because of their evil selfishness for the almighty dollar!

I have paid 4,000 dollars to get a divorce that hasmt happened yet! It's been 6 months and I can never get a hold of anyone there! I found out today that my Lawyer and the paralegal work there! When I spoke with the billing department they refused to give me money back even though they took another payment today! I am a single mom with 3 kids and a dead beat husband that doesn't help and I can't even divorce him! I work 2 jobs and spent 4,000 for nothing!! I'm livid. This should be illegal. If there is ever a class action law suit I want in.

Hired the firm Lawyer ASAP (KEL) for a bankruptcy case. Paid them $1500.00 to file in 6 weeks. They did nothing besides take my money and collect my documents.

They had staffing issues as they changed the people who were handling my case several times. Each change added more time to my case. They also told me they had computer issues which caused delays.

After they missed the agreed upon due date I asked for a eta, which they could not answer. At that point I terminated their service. Our written agreement stated if I cancelled I could get a refund, but they refused.

I put a complaint up on BBB where I found many complaints and a F rating. They don't care about you save your money, avoid the stress, stay away from Lawyer ASAP, (KEL)!

I paid 1900 dollars to KEL. The attorney I was assigned sent three emails to the opposing attorney then after a month of no communication I was informed the attorney at KEL "no longer works for KEL".
No one will return my phone calls.
I have now paid an additional retainer to a reputable attorney who is actually progressing my case.
I worked hard fir the 1900 that KEL ripped me off.
Any law suit count me in!!

This is the worst law firm ever. It has taken months upon months to get a case number and, still, there was no case number produced by the time I fired them and went with a reputable lawyer. The "bankruptcy document collector" was a joke; rude and condescending, she actually told me I needed my girlfriend's (they presumed) W2s, bank statements, and pay stubs. Note: this is just an attempt to string you along as long as possible, so that they can either try to collect more money or simply not do their jobs. This lawyer mill continues to rob people because the Florida Bar will not allow complaints against law firms, only individual attorneys. DO NOT GO WITH KEL! DO NOT GO WITH KEL! DO NOT GO WITH KEL! I cannot say it enough! You will lose your precious, valuable, hard-earned money and will have to start all over from scratch. Beware!

This was the biggest mistake I ever did was to hire these idiots!! Don't waste your money stay a way from this firm!! I gave them $2500 for my divorce back in 2012 by the end of that year 2 lawyers later they wanted another $1500 more when they told my That the first $2500 was more then enough money to get it all done and divorced!! And all I had to do was go with my ex to the court house and it was all done!! So don't give any money to a lawyer that brags on the radio and TV for little $.. Lies lies lies!! I am currently a client of the firm I hired them December 10th and have have 3 different attorneys, watching my case basically get water down. My case is very much a winnable case. On October 13th of last year my place suffered a grease fire. My Landlord still wanted me to live there with no way to store food in anyway, and pay the rent on time. Because of my financial situation the Red Cross step 8n and supply me with shelter for 2 days my landlord ask for November rent, I complied with the thought that he would make the necessary repairs only for him not to leaving my Thanksgiving a nightmare. I called Code Enforcement only for them to confirm what I knew that the place was Uninhabitable For Human Occupation. The Code Enforcement Officer was so appalled by the situation because the property was owned by a church and the church was directly across the street from me. They did not offer help or even offer to put me in another one of there properties until the needed repairs where done instead the told me to have rent for December and that the place was mine til March when my lease was up December 10, 2 months after the fire l hired KEL Attorneys I have paid them a total of 1050$ only for them to tell me they need 2500$ more to pursue my case more for damages I seek of being in a condemned structure for more then 3 months. This is Appalling. The Code Enforcement Officer is willing to testify on my behalf knowing l lost a great deal. I have since asked for a refund and a letter stating the where no longer my attorneys for over a month l have asked to speak to there human resources I have email the person in charge of my case only to get no responses and talk to answering machines this is bad business and if a client lawsuit is filed against them I am join it. Because with all of the photos and receipt video that I posted on Thanksgiving day on channel 13 s Facebook page, and the backing of a Code Enforcement official the case is winnable

Paid my dues along with my filing fee. No return calls or emails. Random dealings with paralegals who only care about suing your creditors. Being strung along and kel will not assign me a lawyer or provide me with my paperwork for my court case. Do not hire them! For anything!!

I cannot even begin to express my disgust with this firm. My divorce case was made significantly more miserable by counsel that was flat out useless. I was drawn in by a paralegal that guaranteed me that obtaining a lawyer would help protect me (at least legally) from a violent spouse. After paying a $1500 retainer and setting up monthly drafts ( totaling $4000) it took over a month to even get a response from the counsel assigned to my case. After I finally met with my lawyer weeks later and spent hours reviewing the details of my case, I finally felt some relief. Until I found out a week later from opposing counsel that my lawyer had been removed from the firm. Kel sent me notice about a week later. After being assigned a new lawyer, it again took weeks for responses and after spending time and money to review my case with yet another lawyer (over the phone this time), mediation was set. Progressing to this point took months due to lack of responses. After weeks of sending the same email begging for a response, my lawyer set a date to meet and prepare for mediation. When I arrived at the kel office in tampa, I was eventually sent to a conference room only to find yet another lawyer had been assigned to my case because lawyer 2 was no longer with the firm. I was upset and informed them that I was not happy with the situation or any service provided thus far. This lawyer guaranteed me that the "situation" within the firm had been resolved and she would be the one in mediation with me the upcoming week. When I arrived at mediation a few days later, I was met with another new face... Lawyer 4 who had been assisting #3. The files she brought were incomplete and incorrect, and when I addressed this her response was that I should take it up with the previous lawyers on my own. This particular lawyer was the most upsetting of the bunch, at least the others acted as if they had my interests in mind. This lawyer flat out told me, sorry seems your ex has a very good lawyer when I asked questions like "why is nothing I reviewed with your firm" even being addressed. This lawyer sat in middle of the mediation literally checking her emails and texting people. On multiple occasions, she actually looked up at the mediator and said she had no idea what was happening. I was so upset by the entire situation I walked out. She came and got me and informed me I could not leave. I sucked it up and just wanted to get it over with, my lawyer did nothing to even fain interest in representing me. She even left the room for 30 min to call another client (supposedly) whom she had been reading emails from. i was told that it was in my best interest to agree with all offers from opposing counsel even though it was immoral. The next day I received communication from kel requesting an additional $1000 retainer for services rendered. I requested a report of all billable hours. Once I did that, I had the attention of this lawyer. She called me personally to inform me that I now owed the firm an attritional $2250.00 for services already rendered. I advised her that I would be going in front of the judge on my own and I did not want her present. She told me that if I didn't pay the balance I would be sent to collections that day. I informed her that my contract was for the $4000.00 to pay for the divorce process and I would not be paying additional fees. This experience was absolutely miserable and disgusting. Even after firing the attorney and telling them I did not want to retain there services, a 5th lawyer showed up at the courthouse for my time in front of the judge. This lawyer did not even speak, but hey.... It seems to be how this firm works.

I hired KEL in Oct. of 2013. It is March 2015 and I have to find a way to come up with another $4000.00 to fire them and hire another divorce attorney . I paid KEL $4500.00 and they have not done a damn thing for me yet. My case has not even been filed with the courts yet. I have been assigned 4 attorneys already.All of them had lied to me and done nothing on my case. My latest Attorney Alisha Hodo just keeps feeding me lies and blaming her boss Shelley Hogue. I have tried reaching out to Shelly Hogue with no response. They are blowing up my phone and harassing me for more money. I have filed a complaint with the FL Bar and waiting to hear back from them and Plan on going to Channel 9 who is already aware of KEL and there business handling and already aired a show about it last year. I also plan on sewing KEL. Please for you own good . Stay away from KEL.

Please never ever get involved with any of these slick liars. They took money for my foreclosure case and did nothing for over 10 months, any of the information on my case I found out without them and every possible issue they handled was either incorrect or not followed through on. I continues to nearly loose my home until I stumbled upon a reputable firm who assisted me and in less than 2 months resolved my entire case with a modification as well as cleaned up the mess KEL made. They received close to $3000.00 from me and I received nothing from them I wonder how they still are allowed to practice in the state of Florida or any where for that matter.

In may 2012, I retained KEL to head with finanical situation, from loss income and before it became a real problem. KEL was to help with mortgage mod. and chapter 13. KEL instructed me to stop paying creditors, which included mortgage. After 6 months of sending in and updating paper work requested by KEL. A court date was to be scheduled, but a week from any hearing, KEL advised me, that they could not modify the mortgage and the chapter 13 would not work. Some Beach, so nothing would be done? KEL correct. So now what do I do? before going to KEL I had a 5 star + credited rating, now I down even have a credit card, needless to say, I am 5 times deeper in debt. Then KEL was going to do a debt settlement on 5 creditors and a credit repair. In the mean time, I was to do the remaining on my own. Almost one year latter, nothing had been done. Recently rec'd a summons to appear in mediation have 20 days to respond, got paper on Friday late, called and emailed to KEL Sunday night. KEL reponded On Tuesday late afternoon 5pm. The Attorney told me since this case was not on the list, she could not help me, and I am on my own. Now they screwed me again, been paying KEL $400 a month and they could not represent me..... good god, I am all for class action law suit

Is there anyone that can tell me, what the process is to fire KEL attorneys. They have not returned our phone calls, and have not sent in the paper work to our bank to avoid foreclosure. I have a long list of complaints, pretty much the same as many of you. I'd appreciate any advice you can give.We really don't want to lose our home, if possible.
