Kenmore Elite Refrigerators with LG parts

I bought a Kenmore Elite fridge in 2015. It has been worked on almost every year because it doesn’t cool properly. I have purchased two extended warranties and paid over $1,500 thus far for service plans. In 2017 I loss over $600 in food and had to wait 9 days for a repair to board because the fridge just stopped cooling. I was without a fridge during the Christmas holidays. In June 2020 I paid around $300 for service call because the fridge would not get cooler than 50 degrees. I didn’t lose any food because the repairman came out the same day (I wasn’t calling using an extended warranty at that time). I purchased the home warranty that day because he said I would need it because he was called out often for the Kenmore Elite refrigerators. In May 2021 I wake up and the fridge and freezer are completely hot. It takes 5 days for a repairman to come out using the home warranty. I lose around $1K in food. The repairman tells us it’s the compressor. The home warranty company declines to make repair because it’s covered by the manufacturers warranty. After many many calls and transfers I finally get an appointment to get a repairman out to make repair under the manufacturers warranty which covers the parts but not the labor. Four days and $631 later the repairman replaces the compressor. He says don’t put food in the fridge for a week so the fridge has time to calibrate. So a week later I start slowly reintroducing food to the fridge and freezer. After a few days I notice the fridge is not cooling below 50 degrees. So here I go making many calls and being transferred numerous times to get a repair person out to look at the fridge. I feel like I have ptsd and anxiety around this fridge.

Seven service calls not fixed. Food spoiled Three times

We are retired, senior citizens. We purchased Kenmore Elite in 2013. Our first service call was about two or three months after purchase date. Since the first repair call, Sears repairmen have been to our home six times to repair my refrigerator. We have replaced spoiled food on three different occasions. A leak was fixed in July 2017. The last repairman replaced the compressor back in March or April 2018 and informed us we now have a new refrigerator. He made this statement because the previous repairmen replaced other non-working parts. This time the repairman was a contractor for the warranty company he is number seven. We now have another refrigerator of spoiled food because my Elite needs a fan and fan motor plus thermostat. Sears will not replace our food. This is the second time for issues with the fan. After requesting Sears replace my refrigerator and left a message for a manager. I am still waiting for a return call from a Sears manager.
