It has been just three years since I bought a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator Bottom Freezer and a week ago, it stopped working. I called for a repair technician and he came after four days after it stopped working, He did not repair it because he told me it would cost me about $1,000.00. He further said that he has been called about the breakdowns of many of this same appliances and refused to repair them because they are defective. I paid $3,800 for this appliance and it only served me 3 years. This is not right for Kenmore to go on selling this appliance knowing they will only last a short period of time. For over a week, I have been without a Refrigerator and unable to feed my family unless I go to the store for dry food or order take out. It is costing me a bundle of money and in addition, I had hundred of dollars of food spoilt when it broke down. Something has to be done about Kenmore. Someone from Kenmore ought to step up and reimburse me for all the emotional stress my family and I have been going through. Unless I go and buy me a new Refrigerator, my family and I wiull starve to death and it is all Kenmore Company's fault. I want answers from its president soon.

After using for just over a year, our kenmore elite french door fridge compressor went out, spoiling lots of food. Frustrating after reading all the related issues here. Already hired a service tech to repair, but now wondering if we'll be having the same issue one year from now.....guess we'll see.
