Our electric built in wall oven controls burst into flames when we turned the oven on today. The only way for us to get the flames to stop was to turn the main circuit breaker off. The cabinets around the oven are charred and the granite counter top is also charred. We are very lucky our entire house did not burn down.

When I called to get information from Kenmore I called 1-888-536-6673 - I spoke to Kay, JP, Sean, and Alex. Alex identified himself as the manager of the appliance service and recall department. He told me there was nothing they could do for me and would not give me even an address where I could send a letter and told me that there was not anyone at Kenmore that was interested in this issue.

I am disgusted that they are not concerned with the safety of their customers in that other customers may have this same oven and die in a fire with their families due to the negligence of this company and their customer service representatives.
