Range fire

I purchased my Kenmore electric range model # 790-9418 just a year ago and had been enjoying it up until now. On yesterday, Thursday, November 23,2017 my oven caught fire while preparing Thanksgiving dinner. My house filled with smoke and I heard something Poo. I turned to look and there was a blaze inside of the oven. At that time I panicked because I’ve never had a fire inside my house. I was able to extinguish the fire but my food was ruined. I am very upset because I haven’t had this oven a year and it has caught fire, messed up my meal and caused trauma to my child and myself. I paid a lot of money for quality and instead a got a piece of junk.

Icemaker does not work..brand new!

Was the ice maker connected at delivery? Use the manual and hook it up. My husband did ours and it took 15 minutes and was free. No money, no aggravation, no fuss.

Icemaker does not work..brand new!

I purchased a brand new Kemore on 3/12 and it was delivered on 3/21. The icemaker did not work from day 1. We called for service and the first day of service was 4/2/2011. We waited ALL DAY for the tech. I called SEARS customer service repeatedly and they kept telling me the tech would be there later. Finally at 3:15, I called again and they said he would not be coming. The next date for service would be APRIL 12... 23 days from the delivery with no ice . I must have talked to 8 different people having to explain the story over and over. All they could say was, "I understand your frustration"...'understanding' does not make ice...DO NOT purchase from SEARS...they do not provide adequate service at any level. This is the worst example of service ever.. Next, the bill will come and they will expect me to pay for a substandard appliance that does not and has never worked. Surely, there is a tech who can fix this appliance in a sooner time frame that this. In short, DON'T PURCHASE FROM SEARS!!!

Icemaker does not work..brand new!

I have had the same problem with my ice-maker. After the 4th time of service I gave up. Look on the bright side it keeps Americans working. lol
