blown motor only 5 years old

we bought a kia sorento 2 years ago still paying for it it sounds like the motor has blown all maintence has been kept up on the vechile because my husband is a mechanic it seems to use a lot of oil this engine is a 2.4 litre and it seems to have a lot complaints about it wanted to know if there is any warrenty on it or recall tried to call kia but has notbeen able to get a hold of them
