unfortunate incident at Reagan Airport

Grateful, if you kindly assist me in Connection with this unfortunate incident of mine, which has literally spoiled my career after almost 18 years in US, and I should be given an opportunity for personal representation of my case , and I confirm that I am innocent and I am nothing but a victim of unfortunate circumstances.( Misdemeanour Category). I had to come back to India, and I am literally on the streets without any Employment since September 1, 2017. I must have lost at least one million dollar , as the retirement age is 65, and the incident occurred when I was 48. My current age is 49 years. ( Attachments enclosed)

Myself,,Sandeep Mukherjee was working in the Indian Embassy as local employee (Protocol Dept). This incident took place when I was on an official duty at Washington National Reagan Airport (DCA), on June 16, 2017.The name of the pen shop is Pen and prose boutique, DCA Airport (Tel- 703- 417 1944) Sales person, Ms. Kiara Goldsmith.

After completing my Duty, I bought a pen from Pen and prose boutique, DCA Airport, and on my way out I found some discrepancy and went back to the sales girl, who gave me a better replacement with cheaper cost. I was extremely happy as usual being a pen lover, and the sales person who helped me was also nice and helpful, I gave her a hug before leaving.

After two months I received a police warrant based on complaints from the sales girl. I hired a lawyer online and reported to Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority police station in his company. Police handed over a document to the lawyer and we left.

But, one thing I would like to add here, the Sales person at the pen shop mentioned that it is mandatory to see the IID, if the mode of payment is by credit card which I did, and she also enquired about my place of work and also mentioned that she had seen me at the Airport in the past along with the Indian Ambassador. I have been to this pen shop in the past as well being a pen lover and also purchased pens from there, but this particular Sales person was over inquisitive and trying to be too personal

Meanwhile, unaware of any such police matter ever in my life, I got worried and in the absence of any support from my superior reporting officer I took leave and flew home out of sheer disgust and embarrassment. Unfortunately by that time police had put a pop up in US immigration, which says simple Assault. Exasperated I went to the US Consulate in my home town, Kolkata to apply for a Tourist visa for personal representation of my case as advised by my Attorney, but they refused to issue me the Tourist visa. My work visa, which was valid until July 2021 was also cancelled by the US Consulate in Kolkata by Mr. Lee Calkins • Consular Section Chief • U.S. Consulate General Kolkata • U.S. Department of State , 5/1 Ho Chi Minh Sarani, Kolkata, India 700071 Tel 91-33-3984-2400 Ext 2512, *:[email protected]

.As a result I am stranded in India, jobless, struggling financially. After almost 18 years of work in USA where I lost my parents (cremated in New York).- (Death certificates enclosed.)

I therefore would request you to kindly help to resolve the matter if possible and salvage my honor for no fault of mine. It is obvious that the complaint is false or misconceived as the incident took place in full daytime office hours in an airport shop close to Airport police station verifiable from CCTV.. My Lawyer also mentioned that without my presence in the US , it it really difficult for the matter to get resolved.(Case falls under Misdemeanor Category)

I am sure facts will vindicate my innocence, and will restore my job relieving me from financial distress and mental agony. I am currently without any employment since September 1, 2017.

I resided in the US for the period between November 30, 1999- August 31, 2017. I had served for the Consulate General of India, NY for the period between April 3, 2000- August 31, 2017), and then I had worked for the Indian Embassy in DC for the period between May 10, 2016- August 31, 2017.

Please help me Sir to come out of this trauma I am going through lot of financial stress without any job.

Sir, Grateful if you kindly help me with an US Entry Visa, so that I can again travel back to USA again for personal representation of my case , where both my parents passed away. I am really struggling financially without any job since September 1, 2017.. I am a victim of unfortunate circumstances, and it is absolutely fabricated.

My last basic salary which I was paid by the Embassy was US Dollars 2886.00 plus Payment towards protocol Duties / conveyance totaling around US Dollars 4500.00 in the month of August 2017 and the amount may be verified from the Indian Embassy in Washington DC

Regards,

Sandeep Mukherjee
