I bought a Kenmore Elite bottom freezer Refrigerator 2 1/2 years ago and the compressor needs to be replaced. It's an LG compressor. New compressor is covered but not the labor. Technician told me it would cost me $600.00 labor to replace compressor.with another LG compressor. I was told there is no replacement compressor for this compressor other than LG.I'm not having it repaired knowing the same thing will happen in a few years. LG needs to be held accountable for continuously selling a faulty compressor. When I bought this refrigerator I thought wow this compressor has a ten year warranty. Not knowing I would have to replace the compressor after a couple years. I did some research and found there are many many people with this same problem. Something needs to be done to stop LG from selling this product.
