Multiple lost pictures

I was not able to get my son's Fall or Spring pictures for my son's preschool because Lifetouch lost the file for his Fall pictures and didn't send my Spring pictures. For the failure on their part in the Fall they offered me a session at J.C. Penny's. Too bad the closest one is over an hour away so that is really helpful. For Spring all they did was give me my money back. That doesn't mend my broken heart. Screw that company.

Photos

For church photos not only did they double charge over 25 plus people but over 75 percent of the pictures arrived over 2 weeks late. I still have not got mine. I've. Called I have emailed nothing.PLEASE WARNING DO NOT GO HERE WHAT A HEADACHE AND HORRID SERVICE.

terrible services, no refund

When everyone else in my daughters' class got their picture, we didn't get our photos, but the coupon for an order. So I called them (45 min wait on the phone), the person on the phone said she will reorder. I told her to cancel my order, and I will order it online myself. One to two weeks later I got my photos. And a month later I hot another order. I checked my bank statement and found out that I got charge twice. They never cancel my order in the first place. So I called again (with 30 min wait) and explained that I called to cancel before I received and got charged twice. She was mad and responded with attitude and asked me what she can do. So I said that I wanted a refund and to return one set of the photos. She told me to use a permanent marker draw across the pictures, take pictures, and send email to them. I did what she said and destroy one set of the photos, but the email didn't go through because there was no such email she gave me. My husband then send the explanation of our issue through the contact box on their website. 6 weeks later, I still didn't hear from them. Now that I only have one good set of the pictures for the prize of two. This isn't right! I tried to called again,but couldn't wait pass 25 min wait.

Poor Customer Service

Lifetouch photography does not have satisfactory customer service. I was sent pictures with the incorrect background. Another year my photos weren't sent at all. When I contacted a Lifetouch representative I was basically told I'm out of luck. Verbatim "There is no way it can just mess up" That's what I was told. I had to call back 2 other times to finally have someone correct my order. The first year's mishap may have been a rare occurrence so I let it go but now it's the second year in a row I've encountered issues.

my order

My daughter had pictures taken in school at the end of August. I sent her to school the day of the pictures with the envelope and check for the pictures. My check cleared my account at the beginning of September but when the other kids got their pictures we didn't get ours. I called the 1800 number the next day and sat on hold for almost 1 hour. When someone FINALLY answered they said that they didn't see an order was placed for us, so she did a reorder. She was not friendly at all and gave me attitude because I could not remember the name of the package that was ordered. We finally got everything taken care and she said I will get it in 2 weeks and I was actually emailed a bill for the pictures again. I called the next day and talked to someone else and they said no of course I don't have to pay again that it was a reorder. Well over 2 weeks later I still didn't have my daughters pictures. I called again and I was told that the pictures were never reordered. I had to sit there again on the phone and go over my order with someone else. I checked back a few days later to verify that there was an actual order that was submitted and after being on the phone and on hold forever they said that they do see a order was sent. Here it is in the middle of October and I still do not have her pictures. This company is ridiculous and does not know what they are doing.

Customer Service - Response

This is a terrible system. I have been on hold for more than 30 minutes every time I call. I leave the option for a call back (holding my place in line) and I get a call 1 to 2 days following. I always miss the call with a message to call the same number that kept me on hold for over 30 minutes. I requested email communication and explained the problem of not reaching a live person only to be told to call that SAME number. My emails are responded to 2 to 3 days later. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING

No Pictures

I paid for pictures via Paypal so thankfully I will receive my refund! My son had pictures taken on April 20, 2016, the school apparently never received the pictures. They gave me their sales guys cell phone number. I called him and also sent an email to Lifetouch. After 2 calls and emails, I finally received all call from the sales guy as well as Lifetouch to let me know that my pictures are in the mail as of June 1, 2016 and I will have them in 10-14 days. Today is now June 20th and I have received no pictures so I call Lifetouch again. I was told this time that they have no proofs from my sons pictures and am I sure he didn't miss picture day! Well I am positive he didn't miss it seeing that I paid the night before and he came home that day telling me what the photographer said to him! Not to top off the fact that I was told by 2 different people on June 1rst that the pictures were in the mail!!!!! I have dealt with life touch every year for many years between my 3 kids and have only in the last few years paid thru site and paypal and never have had any problems!! My suggestion to anyone is for one.........POTRAIT INNOVATIONS is cheap and do wonderful pictures and you receive them in an hr or less!! But if all else fails I highly suggest paying via PAYPAL because at least your funds can be reimbursed when Lifetouch drops the ball on you!!!

Terrible service, no refund received

I worked for Lifetouch for 8 years in several different sections including underclass (the ones who go to schools and take photos) and the Prestige Senior division (studio photography geared towards Senior portraits. I have a degree in photography and had years of experience before I was hired by them.
They pay us poorly and make promises they won't keep. The "give" us shares in ESOP (employee stock options) which we earn for hours worked and years of service (does that sound like a gift?). Oh, and when you do leave the company they won't release any of your earned ESOP money to you so you can reinvest it in a viable stock or even an IRA. I am still fighting with them about this issue even though I got away from this company in November of 2010.
I also can vouch for the labor law disputes that many of these posters talk about. You work for hours upon hours with no break and there is no standard for how territories pay for drive time and mileage. Any complaint you bring to many managers is treated like "whining" even when it is legitimate or safety related and then you get labeled a troublemaker. At the end of the day their attitude is "tow the line or I will find someone who will."
When they don't want to pay you what you should be earning they "lay you off" and don't recall you because they have that right as a company that hires "on a seasonal basis" and bring someone in that they can pay less to do your job (although not nearly as well most of the time) all the while they are charging more and more for portraits from parents who think they don't have a choice and feel bullied into purchasing these cookie cutter pictures that we are expected to achieve in 30 seconds. That's right a "good" photographer is expected to be done with a child every 30 seconds. Time it...does it seem like a suitable amount of time to get a decent picture of your kid.
I now work in a small studio for another large portrait company who exclusively does studio work and I cannot believe the difference in how we are treated. I was never bitter about my departure from Lifetouch because I knew that there had to be something better out there for me than that but I also know that people should hear the truth from those of us that have been on the "front lines". All I can say is don't feel bullied. Let your child get their picture taken for the yearbook and then take them to PictureMe (in Walmart) or even Sears and get a package that is more reasonably priced of a pose you can actually choose of your child. That way you know that you are getting quality for your money and you don't have to put up with the poor quality and greedy attitude of a company that treats their employees and in turn their customers with such disrespect.
