Certegy Check Services; PO Box 30296; Tampa, Fl 33630-3296 is the base for the check clearing machine used by Lowes Home Centers. After rejecting my check they gave me the receipt with the 800 number for Certegy. Certegy refuses to give any reasons for declining the checks. They gave me a control number and said I would have a report explaining why the checks were declined within 7-10 days. The report took 3 weeks and says not authorized-reason below which happens to be No Information on File. and this non information will stay on file for 4 years from the check date (but there is no information). Lowes takes my checks by phone, I pay my Lowes credit card with my checks but now I cannot write a check at Lowes. Certegy is a joke that is causing needless financial difficulties.
