Complaint the Co-Worker

Norma,
I don’t know what Eursula’s problem is , but I went to take out my trash and on my way back she brushed her shoulder up against me again, like see wanted to fight me. Norma I asked for Amy because I knew you had left for the day, and Amy was also gone, so this is way I’m emailing you now. I have been getting along with everyone, even Tracy . Norma I am really trying to be a team player.


Norma Trader is my boss and Eursula Knight is the Co-Worker that has a problem with me, this is the second time she has done this.

Provisional Credit

I was incorrectly charged for an MTA bus pass last year. It to a lot of hassle but they finally gave me a provisional credit. 4 - 5 month pass by and I am charged again for an MTA pass that I wasn't supposed to pay for, charged two 38.00 fees. I contacted the bank to explain that the MTA was not supposed to have charged me, that I contacted them and they said it may take as long as 30 days to get my refund. After talking with a manager he reversed the two overdraft fees and agreed that as soon as the MTA contacts them I would be given the 64.00 that mistakenly took out. Well, a couple days later that take out another overdraft fee stating that It had been five days since I was overdrafted. I called M&T and they said it was nothing they could do, so I decided to close out my account. I went to the bank in person to close out and the manager there asked me to wait until he looked into things. Well, he looked into things, and the bank decided that I made the purchase and charged me another 64.00. When I called to tell them that they never issued me a provisional credit they said that it was regarding the first mistake they made and no matter how much I tried to explain that matter was resolved and corrected they still insisted that the reverse credit was for the 64.00 provisional credit from last year. I tell them to look on the computer and see the 64.00 debit for 3/4/2015 and that is what is being disputed, and in return they tell me that no, its for the provisional credit from last year. Last year! First place, these disputes are supposed to be resolved in ten day, when the dispute from last year was. The 64.00 from this month is sitting there plain as day but the bank refuses to recognize it and keeps returning to the original dispute in which I was correctly given my money back, the one from last year. So right now I am out two 64.00 charges and a 38.00 overdraft fee because the people at M&T bank either have incompetent employees or they are just not trained right. What's worse is this is the second situation they did not get right. Please, please, please take my advice and do NOT do your banking at M&T. They have the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

Legitimate insufficient funds!

I left M&T 3 years ago with the same complaint. They would put the bigger amounts through first. Their explanations were always crap. I just received a letter from them saying that they reviewed my past account and am due for a refund of bank fees. It didn't ask for anything but to verify my address so it looks legit. I am at a credit union now and have not had one problem. Love my credit union.

Bad Recordkeeping & Customer Service

M&T Bank is the amateurish bank out there. You can't pay their bills online without setting up a checking account at their crappy bank.

I sent a payment for our car on 2/9. They didn't cash it until 2/26 & charged me with a $10 late fee. With the problem being with the post office or M&T themselves, I still couldn't get them to drop the fee after to talking with 2 customer "service specialists". Unreal!

Avoid this bank at all costs!

Bad Recordkeeping & Customer Service

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!
I have belonged to M&T bank for years, never really being happy with them, however this latest issue i have been dealing with is the last straw with them. I somehow had my debit/visa card info stolen, without physically losing my card. After realizing this from over $300 worth of gas purchases being made at a WaWa, that I DEF DID NOT DO, the people i was speaking with at their 800#, assured me how common this type of thing is, and basically went over with me exactly how this can happen. After telling me, they will credit me the money back, as i will have to fill out paperwork they mail me, explaining what happened, they also said that the money RARELY gets taken back. So i went on about my business, did what they told me to do, only to find out, 3 night ago, they went and took all that money back that they originally credited me.!! Now, not only can i not pay my bills, i am fighting with them on trying to prove I did not authorize these transactions.. I faxed them a police report #, i gave them the wawa loss prevention reference # i was given, AND faxed over my work timecard to show i was working both days this all took place. They basically are calling me a liar, only because I physically never lost my card, and i was able to make transactions of my own, in between these unauthorized transactions... talk about FRUSTRATING!!! So now I am told i have to write a letter to the "card services" explaining everything that happened-AGAIN... since I am told they have no number to be reached cause they are a 'No customer contact" department... UNBELIEVABLE!
I will DEF be switching banks once i HOPEFULLY get this resolved. Talk about poor customer service...

Legitimate insufficient funds!

I received insufficient funds fees on 4 transactions clearing the same day. I had enough money in the account to cover three of the transactions, however the bank decided to start with the highest transaction therefore depleting the account of funds and then charging for all 4 transactions. I understand that I am responsible to keep sufficient funds in my account, I take blame for that. But when the bank saw that they could've paid 3 of the items without depleting the account, then thats what they should have done. This is a perfect example of a self serving business. When I contacted them all they said was that is how we post things from the largest transaction to the smallest. My question again is why? They then suggested I enroll in a different checking account that has a 1500.00 minimum balance, but it has overdraft protection availability. The problem with this solution is, if someone can afford a 1500.00 min. Then they probably don't need overdraft protection. Protection should be an option for all the checking accounts. These policies are outrageous. If you ever have problems with your account steer clear of this bank. Consider a small town bank or a credit union.

Legitimate insufficient funds!

This bank needs to be investigated. I recently made a transfer from M &T to my paypal account by mistake ( I meant to transfer from a different bank). Luckily (or unluckily rather), it went into overdraft protection because of insufficient funds. I found out I had made this error when I received the bank statement and immediately processed full payment to the M&T account. Unfortunately, my payment was overdue and M&T took full advantage. They charged me $10 for the initial overdraft, $37 for nonpayment of $18 minimum monthly payment, another $10 for overdraft so they could take the $37 and $25 late payment. That's $82 in fees. I was okay with the initial $10 fee but the rest of it is just gouging of the customer. Is any credit card company allowed to charge $72 for nonpayment of $18? I spoke to a rep who told me that there was nothing she could do. I mentioned that, at the least, she could waive the $25 fee like other credit card companies do. At that point, she admitted that she could waive that bringing the fees down to $57. I also closed my account. I've heard horror stories from other people about being charged multiple times for the same thing as well with this bank. I've never heard of a bank treating people this ruthlessly. At a time when laws are changing with credit card companies to protect the cardholder from excessive fees, for some reason, M&T is unaffected. It is the type of company that sits and waits for you to make a mistake, and then they pounce on you instead of offering you the courtesy of a one time waiver like other banks in the past have done. An absolutely awful bank that needs to be investigated be the BBB for business practices that should be illegal.

Lost Checks

I have a car loan that was funded by M&T Bank since Febuary of 2009. Now I have been paying major bills for 12 years now. I've never had a problem with the post office getting my bills to the appropriated destination. This includes a mortgage, other car loans, boat loans etc... I sent in a payment several months ago. They never received it. I figured maybe I forgot the stamp. It was never returned. I got another late notice the other day and I know I put a stamp on this one. I called the bank and told them I made the payment and they have to have received it. They said they haven't. The specialist was arguing with me when I wanted a pay off balance to get a loan through another bank. She blamed it on the post office. Would not take off the late fee and asked if I was going to make a payment. I told her not at this time that when I send in my next payment I will send in a double payment. She was not happy and continued to argue that it is not on their end. I told her she may not beleive me but I did send it and had everything correct on the address and stamp and that I am through with doing business with them. I could see once this happens but twice within 6 months. I don't think so. M&t is no good!!!

Lost Checks

Funny I ran across this comment.. As luck (or bad luck) would have it, I too am going through this very thing with M&T Bank! I made my payment through my bank with online bill payment, the due date on the car loan is the 11th of every month. It is not considered late until the 23rd of the month. I sent the payment out on the 4th of the month, it was posted to my account on the 5th, my bank said it was delivered by the 12th (which is still considered an on time payment). Conveniently, M&T Bank says they didn't get it until the 24th which is one day late according to them (isn't that convenient?!?!?!). Their customer service reps were TERRIBLE and I let them know about it. They told me every loan was entitled to one "forgiveness" on a late payment which they were willing to do. I declined because it is my contention that I was not late and didn't need to be forgiven for anything, and heaven forbid I am late at some time during this loan I may need to utilize that feature. I went round and round with customer service and their answer was they can not control the mail. Well neither can I and I sent that payment with enough time for it to be a timely payment, how do I know it wasn't sitting on someone's desk for almost 2 weeks?!?!?! This bank is a joke and I am sorry I have to do business with them for the next 6 years!!!
Anyone getting a loan of any type through this company best beware, they are scam artists of the worst kind!!!
