$2.00 on 0 balance

I called Macy's customer service because I was charge $2.00 in April. I was told that it was an interest charge because I didn't pay my account in full for the month of February. I don't understand why didn't they charge me this in March when I payed off my full balance. It doesn't make any sense to me. This looks like fraud to me! Just imagine all the money they are making if they're doing this to every customer. I'm really thinking about canceling my account with them.

Worrynomore7 yr give back

Signed up 1-17-2010 worrynomore 7 yr great give back. If after 7 yrs I do not use worrynomore I am eligible for store credit. I went on line to give information and I am not eligible for I had 90 days after the 7 years of purchase to file. No where on the pamphlet did it state a time frame for store credit.

Interest on closed account

Very interesting to see the other Macy's complaints here. I closed my account last year, after finding out, via a credit agency, that Macy's had reported a past-due payment on a bill that I had never received. The underlying charge was something like $30, but with interest it was close to $200.

When I called to complain, I was told that I had requested paperless billing but that there was no email on file for my account. This was patently untrue, as I was able to bring up old invoices in my email box that predated the charge in question. For some reason, at some point in 2016 they just stopped sending email bills. It should be noted that I continued to get email advertising and receipts from Macy's using the same email address.

I paid the account in full, had the interest waived and closed the card. I was stuck with the ding on my otherwise perfect credit.

Fast forward to March 2017, and, despite the fact that my account was closed SEVEN months before, I get an invoice - for $2 a month "residual interest." The CSR tells me that even though the account is closed they can charge this because in the month before I closed the account, I had carried a balance, even if it had been paid in full. Huh? I am an attorney, and even I can't figure out how they manage to get away with this.

If there is a class action, count me in. I know I wont' get any money, but at least we can stop this practice.

7 year worrynomore

Dear MACY's

I bought Sofa on 09-10-2015. It costs me $2999.00 and additional $374.00 for 7 years worrynomore. I claimed the stains on Sofa. So UNITERS sent the technician and found out the claimed was denied it. That was ridiculous. How can? Why MACY's offers me to sign up 7 years with that. 7 worrymore plan???? now. That was unprofessional business and misleading information to customers like me.
I regret about wasting money now.

Minimum Interest Charge

I paid the credit card bill in full, the day after the invoice arrived in the mail. When my next statement arrived, there was a $2.00 "minimum interest charge."
I was told that this is added if one carries any balance forward. My cycle close date was the 10th of the month, and in order to avoid the charge, I had to pay in full before the 10th. The statement was prepared and mailed on the 10th, ensuring that the minimum interest charge would be added. Today, September 16th, was when I received the statement.
I called the customer service department, and after 21 minutes on hold was told that they would waive the charge. When I complained that the charge was simply a revenue stream for Macy's, I was told that I could call each month to have the charge cancelled.
This is clearly a revenue stream for Macy's. If they receive this $2.00 charge from their millions of credit card holders, they are raking in some real money monthly.
I cancelled my account. I think this charge is suspect.
