I applied for Mastercard from RAK bank. I did it only because it was promised for life time free.
After one year i got a statement with an annual fee. Immediately i contact the bank and said, that it was promised as free card
and i want to cancel the card, due to living the country. The answer from the bank: they cant verified that these promise was given to me. Then i have before the cancellation i have to pay the fee for a year, in which i cant use the card, because we are leaving the country. These is a very bad from from cheating.
