Vida Vacation are Heartless

My husband and I were scammed into buying into a contract with mayan palace after a breakfast presentation in 2009. We experience many of the nightmares that were stated in the other complaints. Well to make a long story short, we paid off for the timeshare maybe 3 years later. Well it's now 8 years later and my husband and I never used the timeshare again, because of my husband's health condition. See, he had several brain surgeries due to a brain tumor and became paralyzed in addition to many more complications. I received a renovation fee bill for nearly $800 that was never explained to us during the presentation. I called their customer service and explained our medical situation and the fact that we were unable to travel. They really did not care about our condition, since the contract is the only language that they know. I was transfered to accounting and was told that they could only remove the late fee of $36. I spoke to three people that day and I realized that they were going to do nothing about the renovation fee for this timeshare that we don't and won't use. It's unfortunate that we lost over $10,000 for a timeshare that we used once. We pray that people see these stories and avoid vida vacation. vida vacation staff are not human and worship money. Our other timeshare company was courteous enough to at least remove the renovation fees, but vida vacation are sticking to the contract that was deceivingly presented. I am going to be sure to spread the news about this timeshare and have others do so as well. There are other ways to fight back when you have been wronged. We are going to send special prayers against these money-sucking demons who work for vida vacation.

Mayan Palace awful timeshare experience

Mayan Palace Awful Experience

3 years ago me and my husband acquire a membership with Mayan Palace, we think that could be a great idea to invest on a timeshare
We wanted the cancellation but the resort denied that possibility while in the timeshare presentation the salesperson told us that we could cancel whenever we want it, of course it was not true. Bad treatment and a misleading membership , the first year was fine , then the problems started when we received a extra charge from a service that we didnt used it. The cost of the maintenance fees, totally is a crazy price and out of our possibilities. I think that Mayan Palace resort is one of the worst places in the world.
We found Mexican Timeshare Solutions on a timeshare users group website and we hire them. I highly recommend Mexican Timeshare Solutions if you want an honest, responsive means of getting rid of your Mexican timeshare. Mexican Timeshare Solutions took no money upfront .I paid them after they sent me documentation from the Mexican court that my timeshare was revoked
You dont have idea how much I battle with those people to let me go out, all was my fault for not read the contract in time, but now friends you know it, so stay alert.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Bad Experience

My sister and I both owned at Pueblo Bonito, Sunset. We were there in 2011 and got sucked into a presentation at Mayan Palace. Being stupid and believing this would get us out of our existing timeshares, we signed on. We had to pay $13,000+ to them as well as $7,000 to transfer ownership through TimeshareResaleMarket. We made that decision based on repeated lies. we checked with them two years ago and of course they don't want to buy it back and we had not found a reputable sales agent to get rid of it that way. Even we offered to sell it for half of what we paid for it.
We found "Mexican Timeshares Solutions"; we called them and was promised no payment until the contract is canceled. We provided them with everything they needed and cooperated with them to help them do their job. They delivered on their promise they did cancel the contract. We honestly highly recommend their services and do not pay anything until the contract is canceled. After a nightmare, now we can rest.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Fraud

I bought a time share at Mayan Palace as an investment and was told I could use the equity to purchase a one or two bedroom. They have totally lied about everything they said they were going to do. They are impossible to contact. They said they fired the manager who originally sold the time share to me I do not believe that happend. The same sales person sold my Girlfriend a time share that I heard him say they would sale her time share for exchange for hers because she was trying to get out of her old one. She signed the papers and was stucked with two. They completely lied to her and continue to do so. She had not had any success in resolving her issue with the same time share company. She also had another couple that were friends of hers that bought and they were lied to and promised a bunch of stuff. Tired of so many lies, we found a company that cancel timeshares, we contact them for a free consultation. They sent us a contract where was established if they do not cancel our contract we do not have to pay anything to them. They got the cancellation of 2 of our contracts and they are working in our other contract. we are happy we the results and we want to share with others in order to avoid more injustice from Grupo Mayan.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

During our trip to the Mayan Riviera. My husband and Iwere asked to attend a breakfast the next morning. We were pressured and tricked into signing a contract for 30 years membership with Mayan Palace. When we came back to USA we wanted to find a way to get out of the contract, but it was almost impossible. We were paying for a 5 years and we never used it. We have spent $10k dollars on various scams over the years with promising to sell it for us.
Tired of wasting our money I called a Mayan Palace and they offer to help resell our contract. They referred us to a Broker company and we paid $700 and after two years this company disappeared. Tired of been scammed, browsing on internet, I came across Mexican Timeshare Solution website, I read the Testimonials and I decide to try once more.I was very skeptical at first but they didn't require any payment upfront so decided we had nothing to lose. They were very professional and had the contract cancelled within six months. We were cleared of our membershipcompletely. We are very happy with the service, and highly recommend MexicanTimeshare Solutions.

Beware, if you see any Mayan palace salesperson run away and if you are in the same predicament I recommend Mexican Timeshare Solutions.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Complaints

Common Complaints:

The salesperson will claim that they can resell the client's previously owned timeshare for a large sum of money and the purchase of the Mayan timeshare will be covered by this resale.
Salesperson offers an equity exchange or trade-in program.
The salesperson says that they will rent out their Mayan weeks for a large profit and issue a check to the client within a few months so that they can pay off the timeshare with the rental income.
Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable, and they are then persuaded into a downgraded membership. http://www.timesharescam.com/

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

Mayan Palace sales tactics are hardcore and they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you into the contract and keep you in contract with them. It is too common for the sales representative to offer you an upgrade if you already own a timeshare with them. http://www.timesharescam.com/

Sold a junior suite in the Mayan Palace in Nuevo

In Feb. 2012 after 9 hrs of gruelling pressure tatics to sell us something they finally came up with a floor plan that they
would be renovating the mayan palace and they would be putting in junior suites. They gave us 3 weeks and 2 weeks
in Sea Gardens. This cost us 12,470.00 incl. taxes. With a promise that these units would be available in Feb. 2013,at the cost of $507.00 per week when being used. This would increase with inflation.
This I have in writting.
In 2013 when we booked for 4 weeks they gave us a bedroom, no kitchen facilities as indicated in our contract. After
numerous phone calls with reservation they gave us a lock off bedroom on the 2nd floor with a small refrigerator and
I used the microwave oven in the laundary room to make our meals. My husband has stomach problems and cannot
eat in the restaurant on a daily basis and furthermore its very expensive. We were told by reservation and staff members
in the grand myan that there was no such thing as a junior suite. Our contract specifically states a Junior suite and thats
what we agreed on. I have all the paper work and agreements and Brian Tate was the one who finalized the deal.
We left a complaint at the desk when we checkout and we haven't heard anything since. Four weeks in a bedroom is ridiculous.
When we went to another presentation they wanted another $6000.00 and leave us with 2 weeks. We declined as I have no intentions of spending more money on the puchase of a time share. We are in our late 70's and we've been defrauded of life savings with a pack of lies. We had a very stressful holiday because of this terrible scam.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

I am going to make my point clear. Mayan Palace timeshare is a SCAM! I was in cancun in october and was lured into going to their 90min presentation for discount tickets on excursions. To make things short, let me summarize the horrible experience I had and having with the Mayan group. The things your representatives tell you are LIES! They will use all of the information they know about you to come up with lies to suit your needs. This is a good article about Mayan Palace:

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

I am an owner of a Mayan Palace timeshare unit of considerable expense. I have tried to make reservations and have been constantly given misinformation. This has occurred after hours of trying to get through on the phone. I would like to warn people not to buy any Mayan resort units if they want to go any time in the winter since they will not be able to get a reservation. I can't use what I bought:

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

I know from Mayan Palace that many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable, and they are then persuaded into a downgraded membership, and Mayan Palace has a terrible reputation regarding timeshares, shame on them. This is a good article on how most of the Mayan Palace Timeshare scams are being committed:

Promised a lot of things and we have not been able to use ANYTHING

We where invited to their timeshare presentation, we have been to many others so we thought we would go check it out, we where pretty much passed from one fast talker to another, they picked us up at the resort we where staying at so we had no way to leave, we where pretty much being bullied into buying into this, we finally agreed once they came down to $1,800. They promised us 2 free vacations, we where given 2 FUN PACKS (looked legit) and also told we would be able to use the "grand paradise club's maintenance fee relief" if we where not going to use our timeshare in Mexico that we already owned at.

First thing, when I tried to log in to check out the FUN PACK vacation options, it would not take the log in information that is listed on the FUN PACK, I called about 4 different places trying to get the correct information and was always told to call somewhere else, finally the last place told me I had to call MEXICO, I said " This is crazy I am just going to dispute this whole thing with my credit card" which we did but where denied because we signed a contract that does state none refundable.
I am not trying to use the maintenance fee relief and they are telling me I can not because where we own the management will not cooperate with the Grand Paradise Club. I am now going to do everything to get our $1,800 back .

Fraud

Hi Karen,

Don’t get me wrong but your company should consider its position not myself. Mayan is still on business because this scam is taking place in Mexico; if this would’ve happened in America it would be very different, trust me on this one.

Your arguments are nothing more than laughable and silly. Firstly, what is an “amicable” resolution for you? The resolutions you have offered are one sided. I see no benefits once or ever in your offers. You want me to keep this membership when I was lied by the salesperson and by keeping this timeshare I’m keeping lies.

Second, quoting your post “remember the company makes no representations regarding the market for vacation ownership rentals, nor recommends buying this product for rentals or investment”. This statement doesn’t make sense, if Mayan doesn’t resale, rent nor recommend any rental agency. Why does Mayan provide a list of rental companies, with their contact information? This is obviously a contradiction.

Your contract is one sided and it is made only to protect the interest of your company. My contract is 18 months old (not 2 years as you said) but I have read complaints that go over 5 years old and others are very recent they are made by members with the same problem that I have and brand new members have as well! It looks like your company is supporting these sales tactics.

Your last comment is two faced. You ruined my children vacation by lying to me; while looking directly to my eyes. I’m experiencing a financial hardship due to this membership. You sold me a nightmare and now you want to give me a dream vacation.

Thank you for your time and mostly for your “honesty”.

Fraud

Mayan Palace has ruined my life. I believed in their false promises in return I’m stuck with this useless membership which has cost me thousands of dollars.
Their timeshare is so bad that they must lie in order to sell it! Although once they realized you are mad enough to take action against them due to their fraudulent and unscrupulous sales strategies, they make silly offers to calm you down. It’s stupid the way they conduct business; if I wouldn’t be so broke due to the money I have gave to Mayan Palace, I would take legal action against them.

In conclusion I must say. I will never go back to Mexico; they have the drug war on the streets, drug dealers and timeshare salespeople in the resorts. There is no safe place.

Fraud

Dear Mrs. Jackson:

We kindly ask you to reconsider your position. We are doing everything we can to work things out in the best possible manner for all parties involved being that you signed a legal binding contract with us two years ago. You must agree that it would be preferable to resolve this matter in an amicable way.

Even though your observations are intended for other customers, we prefer to be hands on with the current clients that for some reason allege there was a failure on our part to clearly communicate the terms and conditions associated with the purchase of our products. Although the information is clear in the signed documents, we continue to work towards an even clearer communication.

That being said and as stated in your contract, remember the company makes no representations regarding the market for vacation ownership rentals, nor recommends buying this product for rentals or investment. Not only is this included twice within the body of the contract, but it is also included in the summary outline which you initialed more than once.

Give us the opportunity to work things out with you to provide you dream vacations at our breathtaking resorts. We are committed to helping you make the most out of your membership with us; we are certain your own personal experience will be the best evidence of our quality and commitment to customer service. Help us help you and contact us to continue this dialogue at [email protected] or by telephone at 1 (800) 292-9446.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Karen Rose
