Water on floor by soda machine. No pylon saying "wet floor". I slipped because of the water. When I fell I hit my head, hurt my neck, elbow lower back and ankle. A McDonalds employee called the ambulance and I was transported to the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. The emergency doctor's diagnosis was that I had a concussion and sprained ankle. X Rays were done indicating there were no broken bones. I was given Demerol for pain and told it was necessary to have someone stay with me for 24 hours. I was unable to care for myself for the next three days because of pain.
This incident happened at the Connell Road McDonalds Restaurant in Woodstock, NB at approximately 5:15 p.m on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Since the fall I have been having vision issues and headaches. Specialist exam indicated there was an issue, but hopefully it would right itself in time.
I feel there is negligence on part of this restaurant for leaving the water on the floor for a unnecessary period of time, making it dangerous for customers.
I have never been contacted by McDonalds concerning my state of health as a result of this accident, and my friend and I didn't even get to eat the meals we paid for.
I am bringing this to your attention in hopes this won't happen to anyone else.
