billing $ SERVICE

A few weeks ago I received a bill from MDINR in the amount of $72.54. Two days after this letter I received another letter stating they were going to send this matter to a collection agency. The statement was for the months of March, April and May of 2016(Two years ago). I called their billing office and got no logical explanation for this charge. When I said I was going to file a complaint the rep said . "Ill note your file". In October of 2016, the sent me a bill for $23.80 for a service in December of 2015. Like a fool without checking, I paid it. This time I pulled every bill they sent, my bank statements showing the bills were paid and also I have copies of all Medicare and my Insurance carriers statement showing their portions were paid. It seems this is a habit with them to try and get double payments. Either that or they have some pretty bad book keepers doing the accounting. I quit this service in June of 2016. When I called to cancel, the operator said OK and hung up. She never bothered to ask my name. I had to make several more calls to get it cancelled. They told me that they would pick up the monitor and I requested a form showing it had been picked up and the name of the person. They had started sending me double strips and needles every month. When I called to cancel, they still kept sending. By the time I cancelled, I had enough strips and needles to last me for five years. I tried to give them back as they were still in the original unopened plastic bags but he wouldn't take them. I was billed for all these additional supplies that I did not need. Also, they said the testing had to be done every week and the doctor said that once a month was sufficient. They would not settle for once a month. I don't know why I agreed to this sort of testing. I drew my own blood, phoned the reading to MDINR and they in turn called my doctor with the results who then called me. Seems sort of senseless. I now go to the hospital clinic once a month and I never receive a bill as the insurance company takes care of it.

Billing and overall service

Two weeks ago I received a bill from MDINR stating I owed them $72.54 from March, April and May of 2016. A few days later I received a letter saying they were sending this to a collection agency. I called the 855 number to inquire about this and was not given a logical reason. I said I was going to file a complaint and the woman said "I'll note your file". I have every bill from this company, copies of my bank statements showing when these bills were paid and also copies from Medicare and the Insurance company of what was paid and when. Last year in November (2017) I was sent a bill for $23.80 for March of 2015. Like a fool, I paid this one. I quit this service in June of 2016. I called the office to cancel and when I told the woman who answered that I wanted to quit this service, she said OK and didn't even ask my name. She just hung up the phone. I called back several times and finally got someone to listen. I have a signed form from the man that picked up the monitor on 6/9/2016. I was sent needles and strips every month (more than I needed). I tried to stop them from sending any more but they still kept sending them. By the time I quit this service, I had enough needles and strips to last five years. When the man picked up the monitor, I tried to give them back but he wouldn't take them. The bags they came in were never opened. I was charged for all of them. I regret the day I started this service. You use their monitor, take your own blood sample, call the toll free number with the reading and they in turn call the doctor's office who calls you with the results. You already know the results when you do the test. The doctor either adjusts the medication or tells you to continue with your usual dose. Also, this service requires that the testing be done every week. The doctor did not feel it was necessary to do the test every week. I now go to the hospital clinic for the test and its only once a month. Everything is handled properly and I don't have the aggravation of dealing with MDINR. My big concern is that they seem to send bills asking for payments from two years ago which has been the pattern so far. This doesn't seem like an ethical business. I definitely do not recommend using this service. If they have bad book keepers, then they should resolve this problem with them.
