I was using Mediaon / Karaboga Webhosting since almost 3 years now and the support was quite fast and competent and i never had any problems with them but seems like they shut down everything without informing anyone. I always pay for the server 3 months in advance and paid the last one on 27.02.2013 and since then everything is down and there is no possibility to contact them.

Unfortuneately i had to transfer the last one via bank since my paypal was down for a few days because i moved to another country so it will be very hard - if possible anyways - to get the money back.

Mediaon, also know as Karaboganet, also know as Digital Gateways, residing in Turkey, are scamming people.

Fact is, that they have stopped offering webspace. They say, they have informed their clients in a newsletter, but curiously nobody ever received this dubious newsletter. On Monday, my webspace was cut off.

I´m very angry since I paid webspace and domain for a full year in advance on February 2013 - a time, where they already knew, they would stop offering webhosting. As soon as you open a dispute in PayPal, they counter it by saying that webspace is virtual and that PayPal doesn´t cover virtual goods. If you still don´t give up, they threaten you to sell the domain which is rightfully yours.

As you registered your domain with them, they clearly stated that they NEVER ask for personal information. As I wanted to transfer my domain to another hoster, they asked for a copy of my passport and a copy of my phone bill! Furthermore they now had a 60 day cancellation period, what is a joke!

They have been lying to me in the past, but always about minor complaints. But what they´re doing this time is nothing pure fraud! They collect money for a service they no longer offer, they refuse to transfer domains and they threaten their customers to sell their rightfully ownership (domain).

Those guys have to be stopped asap!
