Mercedes Benz of North America Servi ce

My husband and I purchased a 2011 Winnebago View Profile. It has 25,000 miles on it and we have had one problem after another with the check engine light, air conditioning, air bags (recall) .... Recently the check engine light came on again and we had to have the motorhome towed (told my Mercedes complimentary tow through roadside assistance) to the nearest dealership. We did that. Dealer informed us that NOx sensors failed. I did some research and there have been 5 recalls on the NOx sensors with Mercedes. Cost just to replace the NOx sensors was over $2000 and was told could then be problems discovered with the catalytic convertor. Filed a claim with Mercedes of North America. Was finally able to speak to a Executive Referral Manager a week later and he offered no assistance whatsoever. He said because it was out of warranty they wouldn't pay for any repairs. This vehicle has had one problem after another and we have paid for all the repairs. Finally reached a point where enough is enough. This is a known problem with the NOx sensors but Mercedes won't admit that or take responsibility for fixing it. I would never, ever buy from this company again. Worst customer service ever.

Refund

I am leasing a mercedez since August 11th 2019, Keys of Van Nuys dealership. During the transactionI traded in my car. According to the contract and to the financial rep Alex I was supposed to get a check of $4500 in the mail within 5-7 days. After over two weeks and no check I called numerous times and was put on hold, hugged up the phone, had to listen to rude "Mercedes company representatives" or so called because at this dealership they don't know the meaning of customer service. I am being harasses now by one of the sales managers Brian Sheldon ( I do have numerous iPhone texts and calls). The issue was that the title of my car was not signed. I do have a very busy schedule and could not return to sign the title (even though they never called to let me know why my check was not mailed, I had to wait for over two weeks and then call numerous times). After so many unpleasant discussions I got the title thought fedex signed it and returned it. I made myself clear about mailing the check t me after the titles is received. Again the sales person Tygran and the so called sales manager Brian Sheldon texting, calling me to go and pick up the check. Again, I asked for the check to be mailed as it was supposed to be instead the sales manager keeps calling and texting calling me "rude person etc". Is this customer service? I wished I never went to the Mercedes dealership. Am I happy with the Mercedes? No, I am not. Four weeks later I don't have a check and I am being harassed by some uneducated sales persons. At this point, i contacted an attorney. Will take this harassment to the court. I spoke with other people at mercedes Barbara, Rosean and nothing has been done. The Mercedes corporation does not care who represents them? My advise to anyone who wants to buy a merceds is to stay away from the Key of Van Nuys dealership. Why is the company holding my money? Thats what the judge's decision will be .

Mercedes of Oxnard

I went to Mercedes of Oxnard to look at a vehicle. The vehicle had some damages but was told that if purchased, Mercedes would take care of repairs. There were extras added to the contract and paid for. When vehicle was taken for repairs, some of the repairs and the extras paid in the contract were ignored and not performed. I’ve been trying to reach the General Sales Manager for the past month via telephone and emails to no avail. What type of service is this as I’m completely being ignore and not given what I paid for.

SERVICE DEPT. BROKE MY PUSH START

Took my 2009 E-350 to get serviced (Oil Change and State Inspection). For some odd reason I felt the service adviser was not wanting to help at all, he even stated "It's not displaying that service is due, and you haven't hit the mileage needed for the oil change". This was quite odd for him to say since that particular Mercedes Dealership are savages as far as trying to make as much money as possible.

I did request a loaner, since the dealership in Plano takes a really long time. So, maybe that's why he was giving me a hard time?? When scheduling an appointment for the service over the phone, I did state that I will need a loaner. I confirmed online to check the details of the service request, it stated clearly that I will be needing a loaner. The adviser, being able to see this on his end (I know they can see all details of service requests, since I've done this plenty of times before), stated, "So, we will get started, and we will let you know you're car is ready, I see that you will be waiting", and proceeded to point me towards the customer waiting area. I had to then state, well actually I requested a loaner. He then told me well it shouldn't take any longer than an hour. I concurred and agreed, I then told him but it always takes much longer for some reason, and this time I'm not going to wait 3 hours and I requested a loaner.

I get the call 6 hours later that my vehicle is ready, I get in the car, before I leave or move, and the first thing I see is that my push start engine cap, that is normally located on my shifter, is on the ground. So, I try putting it back on and attempt to use the push start, and it then isn't working. I brought this to the adviser's attention ASAP, he called his manager, and they told me they are not responsible, and it could have been that way before.

I e-mailed the GM, for the service dept. and they returned my call the next day, and they also stated we are not going to take responsibility for this, ALTHOUGH THEY BROKE IT. Why would you return my car to me with the cap sitting on the ground? They even cleaned the inside and outside of the car. Why would my cap just be sitting on the ground? They finally proceeded to tell me well the reason we are not taking responsibility, is because we are going to have to replace the whole shifter. That's when I realized that they don't want to be responsible, because that would be a very expensive part to fix. But they broke it, and LIED stating they didn't do this.

2008 E-350 Seat Fire

About 4 minutes after leaving my office and just before I jumped onto I-5 my drivers side seat caught fire and filled the car with smoke. Luckily turning off the heater stopped it before the car went up in smoke also. I've called
MB of Fife 4 times to day to get feedback and still have had no response.

unneed maintenance

The honest truth is this dealers service is in a serious decline. I took my car in for schedule pre-paid maintenance and was told it was taken care of, less than a week later I get a call from Jason a service rep. stating that it was recommend I get a engine air filter change. I ask why they had not done it while the car was there since it is part of the pre-paid plan. He could not answer, also they replace one of my tire for 350.00 dollars and said they check the psi in all tires but the front two had 40 psi,the left rear had 35 psi, and the right rear had 32 psi which clearly mean they did not check them. I called and asked to speak with Chris the service manager and was told he was not available and he never returned my calls. I move out of town and took my car to a local Mercedes Benz dealership and was told the air filter did not need to be replaced and the service at the new location was what I had come to expect from Mercedes Benz.

Seat warmer malfunction

I own a GL450 2007 with 111,000 miles, 11/19/16 it was a cold day, I started my car and put the seat warmers on, after 5 minutes with the car running I saw smoke coming out of the seat. I took a closer look and on the right lower side of the seat there was a hole the size of a quarter, I put the fire out, I was very lucky I wasn't driving yet. I contacted the local dealer but they don't want to take any responsibility for it, the repair cost me $1,300

2009 ml350 fire

2009 ml350 28k miles,
My wife smelled and saw smoked coming from the front passenger seat.
She immediately pulled over as smoke became over bearing within seconds.
She had enough time to grab her bag n phone, hop out and immediately dial 911
Within two minutes, the ml was a ball of flames just like in the movies.
Mercedes HQ couldn't care less, and offered $2,000.00 off a cpo or $4,000.00 off a new car.
They said their investigator couldn't find cause of fire and deny any defect, well if there is no defect, why would they make any offers. This same email will go to our new presidents atty general, so as Mr. Trump can hold these foreign companies accountable.
At lease vw's aren't bursting into flames.
Anyone with the same issue, please email me. [email protected]
There are a few class actions now and need to be more

Steering Lock/Ignition Electronic defect

In the morning, try to start my 2009 C300 and the car did not start and the steering got locked off of the blue. The car had to be towed to a Mercedes dealership at Delray Beach, FL. The problem diagnosed to be related to: manufacturing defected Steering/Electrical System related to Ignition Switch. The following repair stated on my repair report:
- Steering Lock Complete replacement
- Additional time to drill out the old lock
Mercedes Benz dealership service charged me $1,464.00 for a defected steering lock/Ignition electrical assembly. I searched on Internet and a lot of people experienced the same problem (please see the link provided below). Hence this should be repaired without charge and justify for recalls. Mercedes-Benz should take responsibility to repair the manufacturing defects instead hit the customer with an expensive repair cost. I am concern if the steering locks/Ignition electrical part malfunctions, what is going to happen during driving and other cases. I want to communicate this incident with Mercedes-Benz USA before reporting to appropriate government agency and take a legal action action against Mercedes company. This problem is definitely not caused by normal tear&wear. This is a manufacturing defect.

Thank you.

mercedes 350 ml

My 350 ml drivers seat starts to smoke when the heated seat is turned on. I though a rodent was sleeping on the exhaust, a very pungent smell entered the cabin two minutes after start up, lucky I noticed smoke rising up from left side of the seat near the power seat controls. I plan to discuss this with the dealer, when I pick up my replacement accelerator pedal , the original only lasted 85000 miles! The lock actuator less than that. I have to wonder who is manufacturing parts for these cars!

E350 Seat Fire

On January 8, 2013 my wives 2007 E350 had a hole (quarter size) burned in the left side of the drivers near the lumbar area. She was not harmed and did not notice it until she arrived at work. She took it to the local MB dealer we bought it from. They replaced the seat at no charge and gave her a loaner car for free.

Heated seat ML 270 burnt hole right through front passenger leather seat

My 12 year old daughter was sitting in seat and felt cold so put heated seat on. We could smell something burning but didn't know what it was. Luckily our trip wasn't very long and when she went to get out of car she felt something really hot on her leg. I noticed a big burn hole in leather seat and her jacket had a burn hole on it. Luckily she was not burnt.just a smoulder mark on her trousers. Bloody Mercedes should be top quality, yet I am disturbed how I seem to be reading a lot of simar complaints as if it is a common fault.
Appauling !!! Thank god we were not on a motorway trying to pull over to the hard shoulder.

Driver heated seat burned through leather seat

On 11/19/12 I was driving my 2007 ML350 with the heated seat on. I was on a ten mile drive and at mile seven or eight when my back felt like it was on fire. I started to rub my back (I had a jacket on) and I smelled a burning smell so I shut the heated seat off and pulled off the road and jumped out of the car. There was a small hole in the leather seat that had burned through. I was lucky that I smelled something and that my back was uncomfortable hot. I took the car to Philips Olds Mercedes the next day to complain. It will be fixed on 11/28/12 and I hope I will not be charged for this defective seat problem.

Failed Heated Seat Causing Fire

2007 ML350 120K miles single owner - Recently while driving down the road had the driver seat heater on and felt like a had a surge of heat on the lower left side. I turned off the heater and didn't think anything more about it. I was cleaning my car today and noticed a melted hole about 3/8" across in the same locations as others have had fires. So glad it wasn't worse. I have an appointment with the dealer on Monday for some routine maintenance. I doubt MB USA will do anything about it. They definitely have a problem here.
