MRC ALMOST KILLED ME

I spent an initial $900.00 for all of their pills, supplements, hormone and DNA testing. Two weeks in, my blood pressure starting going through the roof! I did not have high blood pressure before this "diet plan." Then, I started having bradycardia, or low heart rate. Got back my "hormone" and DNA" results, which was just a sheet up paper saying high or low and, of course, more pills to take to help with that. Then my hormone levels went completely out of control! I was hot then cold, running a fever, couldn't breathe, sick, depressed, weepiness, couldn't get out of bed, lack of energy - you name it - I felt like I was dying. My husband demanded I stop taking all of the supplements, and let me also make you aware, I had only lost 10 pounds in 3 months of this hell! They said I was cheating, that I needed to add more pills, take more supplements, on and on, just trying to sell as many products as they could. They told me "Just do the program they way we say, you will lose weight." Okay. So for one week I precisely followed every single thing they prescribed, on top of working out an hour a day, and I lost 4 pounds that week! But guess what? I had to go to the ER with a heart rate of 38! JUST FOLLOW THE PROGRAM!!!! and what? Die? Really? I stopped all of the madness and just ate properly and exercised. I lost weight! Really? By exercising and eating like a normal person? Yes! You to can lose weight if you cut the crap, moderately exercise and quit looking for a quick fix. It took you years to gain - it will take years to lose. DON'T GO TO MRC. Thanks.

Half the program benefits at full cost

At these smaller locations. You will pay the full price of the program but receive less of the offerings. No education, no group support. Diet seems odd to me. You can have a between meal snack of 4 packs of artificial sweetener. Is this a modern day pixie stick. A lot of cash outlay and not a lot of pounds lost.

No Customer Service

I bought a 20 week program from MRC in order to get rid of this 60-pound fatsuit I have made through years of living for food. I had been working out and eating salads for lunch and an atkins shake for supper, only to see the weight creeping ever upward. I didn't know what tp do or why I kept gaining. I originally said I wanted to lose 100lbs but after they did their body composition analysis they determined that I have a whole lot more lean muscle than I had thought, and only needed to lose 60 to get my BMI to healthy limits. I have stayed on plan, even measuring the portions. I got the hormone test and the DNA test. When I stalled for 2 weeks my counselor told me to stop eating cheese because of my DNA results which make me sensitive to the growth hormones in cow milk. I kept losing inches when the scale wasn't budging and the people at the center would motivate me and offer tips and encouragement. Keeping food journals helps if you stall out because they can look at patterns of what you ate and figure out if it's too much wheat or too much fatty protein. I am very meticulous about my meals and staying on plan and have lost 20lb and 14inches and gained a pound of lean mass in 30 days. My old jeans fall off and I bought leggings so I'd have something to wear during the process. I did have some bladder issues but I started taking D-Mannose 3 times a week to repopulate the healthy bacteria because I pee a lot. I drink 10 bottles of water with and without their protein supplements every day to protect my kidneys and keep from getting constipated. I have realized that I had been living for food. What yummy dessert could I make? What greasy burger could I have? I had been eating to die, not eating to live. When you fiend for something that is bad for you, you have an addiction. Plain and simple. My skin and hair look better, I have more energy, and I'm NEVER hungry. I have a leftover basket of Halloween candy on the fridge with Skittles and Starburst and KitKats in it and I haven't snuck a single one. If you don't stay on plan, you will never get over the cravings for fats and salts and sugars. They are called Metabolic Research Center because they have taken 25 years to figure out how to lose fat and keep muscle and not be hungry, and if you REALLY stick to it, it will work for you.
