Worst experience ever! Bought a section couch, got talked into the "protection plan", Part broke & a section started to go. I put in a claim on 01/06/2021, it is now been almost a year & they continue to string me along. No call backs, no emails back, wait on phone for hours or they call back only to hang up. Each time I am able to talk to someone they give the same B.S. line about how they are checking into it. Pathetic customer service and total waste of your money. They don't pick up calls and don't even respond to online notes. They hope we will get so frustrated that will automatically Stop checking.Shame on ANY company that utilizes their insurance & feed it to the paying customers. I am beyond frustrated with MFS, they are terrible. The Better Business Bureau, Consumer Protection nor yelp can/will do anything about it. It is time we get lawsuits started to bury this shitty company.

Failure to honor warranty

It has been since October 2019 that we have been attempting to get my Lazy Boy recliner repaired. I have sent countless pictures and emails back and forth and still nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY PLAN IT IS A JOKE.

Does not honor warranty

The furniture place encouraged us as consumers to purchase this plan with the promise that they take care of any damage and will even replace your furniture if it is not repaired to your satisfaction!!! Lie, lie, lie.... We had damage done to both of our end tables which consisted of a deep scratch in one and a spill on the other where the liquid seeped under the sealant it seemed causing the wood to warp. This was reported to Montage and the final decision took months of sending photos, emails and waiting for 3 months for a technician appt. The technician came out and spray painted the end tables in the middle of my living room with an off color paint and claimed the work was complete. When I told him that it looks even worse than from when he started, he told me to reach out to Montage and tell them that I'm not satisfied and they will offer a replacement. He was very polite and nice and I moved on to the next step with this information. I once again sent photos, emails and made phone calls to get this resolved. Montage came back with the response that my warranty does not cover discoloration!!! (DISCOLORATION THAT THEIR TECHNICIAN CAUSED!). I would have been happier with the scratch. SO word to the wise, video your technician when he comes out as the technician reported to Montage that he did not use any products that caused discoloration to my furniture and the customer was happy when they left . Are you freaking kidding me?? When the sun hits my tables, they look absolutely disgusting. How unfortunate, as I will never purchase from the original furniture place again and will never purchase a protection plan through Montage.

Doesn't honor warranty

This company is a scam. They use unreasonably restrictive notification terms with inadequate disclosure that they rely on to avoid paying claims. I don't know why any reputable furniture dealer would sell Montage's garbage warranty products and risk there own reputation with unsatisfied customers.

Dishonor Of Warranty by Montage Furniture Store

Again, attempted to speak with someone from Montage Furniture Services who had answers and was told to contact Chelsey. I called Chelsey on 8/23/2017, however, I left several messages. Also, all attempts to contact Chelsey by email went unanswered and a message 3 days later advised emails could not be forwarded, therefore, returned to me. I tried to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau and after answering a few questions, it read, BBB filing MUST NOT EXCEED 365 days, however, you can submit a customer review. Did I go to the wrong site? I have Montage Protection Plan Service Center located at 107 Flynn Drive, Suite 500, Milbank, SD 57252, with communication coming by way of China. Their corporate office is listed as 4035 Park East Court, Suite 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. I'm mailing letters to everyone on the Directors Board to see the results. According to my warranty it covers the repairs I need performed.. So why can't I get it fixed per my contract?

Denied Warrranty To Cover Sofa

I purchased a 5-year warranty on my sofa from Montage Furniture through Ashley Furniture Store in 2014. The sofa was listed at $1,149 and was paid through Acceptance Now for $4,373.36.
My devastation is as outlined below:

**Called Montage Furniture Store and spoke with Juanette. She alleged she sent email to Ashley Furniture Store to get receipt, product number and itemized statement outlining payment. I informed Juanette I faxed copies of my bank statement showing how much I paid for this sofa ($4,373.36)
**Juanette said they received my bank statements, however, she needed a receipt of purchase from Ashley Furniture Store. I called Ashley Furniture and explained my issue and the urgency of getting a receipt from them on the purchase of the sofa and was told to call (713-436-0218). I drove to Ashley Furniture Store In New Orleans (Elmwood Mall) and explained to the representative this ongoing issue that I'm having with Montage Warranty, only to have a customer join in saying she's having the same unresolved issue. The representative told me to call the corporate office in Ponchatoula (985-340-0914). I called the Ponchatoula Office and was told they do not handle complaints and to call Ashley's corporate office at 800-477-2222. I called and spoke with Rose and she said they do not handle complaints and told me to call Ashley Pearland office at (877-314-8457). I called and spoke with Michelle and was told to call 888-672-2411, Reference ID # 218300, however, she advised that she would send a message to Mr. Hamilton, District Manager (ticket #690105) and to allow 48 hours for a return call. I received a call that evening from Mr. Hamilton, Acceptance Now (972-310-4287) stating he will email payment printout. I received the email that day.
April 28, 2017 - I called Montage Warranty & spoke with Ronal Lee inquiring about status of claim. She alleged she mailed me a repair request form to be filled out. I informed her I had not received the request and asked her to confirm my mailing address. They had the incorrect address on file because I gave them I-10 and they sent the mail to L 10.
May 4, 2017 - Called Montage to follow-up on claim and Felicia said no claim on file and she will open a mew claim.
May 6, 2017 - Called Montage to check status; no claim on file.
May 10, 2017 - Called Montage to check status of claim.
May 23, 2017 -Confirmation letter from Montage asking me to print out their service request form; circle the areas on the attached drawing where the problem with the sofa is and to send pictures. I filled out the request form; took pictures of the areas of the sofa needing repairs, and went to printing company to fax request back.
May 26, 2017 - Faxed Ronal Lee bank statements proving monthly payments, totaling $4,373.36. Again, faxed pictures, diagram showing damage, purchase receipt from Ashley Furniture Store, and Montage service request form.
May 27, 2017 - Spoke with Sandra, Montage, about documents sent and repairs.
May 31, 2017 - Received email from Montage requesting brief description of damage to sofa; informed representative I faxed copies a couple of times and received confirmation that it was accepted.
June 5, 2017 Again, I called Montage to confirm status of claim and Lynette stated no claim on file. She said they received bank statements but they need the receipt. I asked why no one contacted me to say the bank statement wasn't acceptable. She didn't know. I went to the post office and mailed the pictures, included diagram, purchase receipt and service request form.
June 22, 2017 Juanette, Ashley Furniture, sending itemized statement showing payment.
June 27, 2017 - Again, requested repairs or replacement of sofa. Again, I sent the invoice of merchandise to Montage.
July 5, 2017 - Called Montage inquiring about status of repair request. Pending.
July 12, 2017 - Called Montage to follow-up on status of repair(s). Jeanette alleged she was ordering technician.
July 17, 2017 - Technician arrived to view damage to sofa and take pictures.
July 28, 2017 - Received email.
August 2, 2017 - Received email of my warranty.

Lack of Follow Up

I Purchase Sectional recliners and got Montage protection plan from Leather & Home Interiors. The sectional is very nice in leather quality and comfort. After 6 months the pull release handle broke. I Called Montage and filed a claim. The claim process went well until when it came time to order the replacement parts. Apparently, Montage gets its part from the retailer that sold me the sectional. I Had to call montage about 4 weeks later to get status and they called the retailer and found out that the part was ordered and the wrong part had came in. The Part was reordered and again 4 weeks later I had to call to get status because montage had not called to give me an update. That is when I found out the part was already here. So I had to go the retailer to pick up my part. I Notified Montage to schedule a technician to install the part. Within a week the technician was here to install the part. This is when we found out the part ordered was the wrong length. The technician took measurements and photos and forward it to Montage so the part could get reordered. Well another 6 weeks go by and I receive an email from montage asking if I had received my part in the mail. My reply was no, so I called montage to see if they had an update yet and explain this is taking too long, They informed me that they will contact the owner and find out what is going on. A couple of more weeks go by and no status update. So I called to complain to montage why is this taking so long. The reply is that have left messages and are waiting for the Owner (Joseph) to call them back. Another couple of weeks go by and I called montage to find out what is going on. The service rep from montage then said the retailer needs to know the correct length so they can order the correct part. Then service rep then ask me if I could measure the cable and provide photos and email to it montage. I informed montage that they should already have the required information that the repair technician had already submitted. So the cycle begins again and another 4 to 8 weeks go by and still no parts and no update status. Today I called again and had to request to escalate this situation to a higher level. We will see what kind of response I get this time. I would not recommend too purchase the Montage protection plan from this retailer, due to them not being able to work with montage get the parts needed in a timely manner and the montage service team do not follow up with the retailer and provide the customer with update in a timely manner. FYI this has been got on for EIGHT (8) MONTHS.

Will not pay claims

DO NOT BUY!! This is a true Insurance Company! They take your money and then find every excuse in the book to not pay a claim. We bought a table from Ashley Furniture and insurance. Kept a table cloth and pad on it to save the top, as it is veneer and not that durable. One day I was taking off the pad, to take out a leaf, and they was a bubble about 4 inches wide on the table. Could not explain to MFS EXACTLY how the bubble got there so our claim was DENIED. I have a new usage for the initials MFS!! Ashley is going to hear about this as well!!

Worthless warranty

Bought couch and chair set from slumberland in north branch mn. They told us anything would be covered no questions adked. Bull. Called because we had a rip in the couch. After having to send in a ton of pictures because they didnt receivetje first 12 i sent. I was told it wont be covered because it was almost 5 years old and it was wear and tear. The chair we brought at the same time it took 2 monthes to get the part to fix it only to find out its the wrong part. Now they cant seem to find the techs new part order, they claim its fixed. When i told them no its not. Now they are looking into it. DONT BUY FROM THEM, THEY LIE,. Sorry for shouting but tjey will only take your money and leave you with a migraine

Tear and busted spring

Please do not buy this warranty. It is a waste of money. They find any excuse not to cover your furniture. The thirty day practice is very bogus. I will be seeking legal action and reporting this company the BBB. I basically have a warranty that isn't useable because they make excuses as why they will cover whatever issue you haven't. Buyers be aware this is just a scam

Damaged Table

My table snd chairs damaged by a spill. Contact montage when it happened. Claim denied, normal wear and tear was the reason for denial
I asked that everyone who has a complaint with this company contact US consumer affairs, BBB, your state consumer affairs, stop their unwarranted practices!

Dinning chairs falling apart and sofa practically sitting on the floor

I bought a dinning set with overstock furniture one table and 4 chairs and a loveseat sofa 2 seater. in 2013 from overstock furniture at Baltimore Nationational pike Md 21228. I pay a 5 years plan protection. All 4 chairs has completely falling apart. I went to overstock furniture this past week end to sort out so they can put me in contact with Montage furniture. They to my surprised told me that they are no longer with that company and the company went out of business. So I asked, why I was not informed and grand fathered my live coverage that I paid money > The manager of the store by the name of SAMI told me that he was not there at the time and they did not have my email... lies lies lies....but my money is with them. he said that they cannot do anything because of that. I told them it looks like they are scammers in business taking people's money...... It is just a shame..... I will put out word of mouth to all the people I know from work ,,,family and friends to don't set foot in that scam business. The funny thing with that business is that they are always in liquidation closure!!!!!!!

Denied claim for reporting damage within 3 Weeks!!!

Montage refused to cover any damage to my insured furniture since I indicated I noticed the damage AROUND 3 weeks ago and their "policy" is apparently limited to damage reported within two weeks. When I clarified that I didn't keep a count of the days and the damage could very well be within the 2 week period they stipulate the customer service representative just denied the claim.

The supervisor - Hani, I escalated this issue to said she re-heard the original call and will be unable to process the claim. I asked for a copy of the call recording and did not receive any response.

Montage Insurance is truly a SCAM.

couch with stains denied

We purchased the montage furniture protection plan for our couch. We also had it for our bedroom set and coffee table set but never have used it. For the couch our dog was sick and had vommited on the couch. Its a sectional and there were stains at both ends because you can't really control dogs thought process of when they are sick.

We went to the place we bought the furniture from to get information on montage and how to process a claim. They told me exactly what to say and how to say it so that they would cover it and not deny it. I stated it happened the night before I put the claim in and that it was a stain from my dog getting sick (this is covered by the protection plan). I spend about 2 hours taking pictures of the couch and filling out the forms they send you. Two days later I get notified the claim was denied because of accumulation of stains. I called them and explained it wasn't an accumulation of stains as it had only happened that one night. They stated they look at the overall condition of the couch and there were too many stains on the couch. I explained to them the couch was in perfect condition before our dog was sick one night. This is covered and they said they would not change their minds and we were denied and there was nothing we could do about it.

I was very mad as we made sure to check with the "experts" at our furniture store as to how to word the claim as protection plans are always sneaky. We did everything right and they still denied us because of the accidental damage that happened was too much for them to accept. I wonder if my dog just was sick in a tiny little area if they would have made up a response to deny the claim as to the stain wasn't severe enough.

This place is a scam and fraud and someone should do something about it as this is not fair to everyone who gets the protection plan because of what the furniture stores are saying. I wonder if the salespeople in the furniture stores even know what kind of service they are trying to push on us.

SCAM

We purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture 3 years ago and bought this expense warranty aka SCAM. Went to go use it for the first time on my leather sofa because the leather is tearing and was told "oh we don't cover normal wear and tear and leather separating is normal wear and tear." When I bought the furniture was told by the salesman that the warranty covered anything and everything from accident damage, intention damage and normal wear and tear. Do NOT buy a furniture warranty through these people. I don't care how much you spend on furniture, you will never benefit from the warranty and are just freely giving them $400.

Montage is a scam

We purchased a 5 year insurance, and still have about a year and a half to go before it runs out. For the first time I called and said the 4 corner cushions need to be recovered. They asked what was the problem, so I answered them as follows. The 4 corners is where the we sit in the most, and they are wearing out terribly. The armrests are perfect, the backrests are perfect, but the part you sit on in the corners are just gone. All 4 have small like punctures from buttons on jeans or something. When I called the lady Megan said ok, how long have you been noticing this problem? So I honestly answered for a few months, because that's the truth. She then told me I was NOT COVERED. I asked how can that be? Her reply was "you have to report it in 30 days from first noticing the damage". Now that's got to be bulls***! I was told we were covered 100% for 5 years no matter what when we bought the couch set. If anyone out there knows a way to make them back up what we bought, please contact me. [email protected]

warranty is bogus

I purchased this so called waranty when I bought my leather furniture. Was told by Ashely furniture it would be covered for everything.well after jumping hoops and sending letters and pictures of the damage I was told it wasn't covered. It's been 4 weeks of phone calls about getting a refund and Im told the same thing its under review. If anyone reads this don't ever buy a warranty from Montage. You might as well throw your money in the garbage

hole in leather sofa

Bought four pieces of leather furniture. Store advised us to purchase a Montage five year warranty because our two year old grand daughter was living with us and the warranty covered accidental dammage. When my grand daughter jumped on a toy and punctured the sofa Montage denied the claim. When we took them to small claims court and their representative and the judge were on a first name basis. Our claim was again denied? Double scam?

CLAIM (SIGH...)

So i purchased a reclining three peice couch ($1200) and swivel recliner ($500) from Olums... The recliner breaks within 2 months, i call up Olums. They make an appointment for some date like a month in the future for a tech to come out and fix the item . He takes it apart. He takes half the chair tells me he is going to fix the mechanism and do me a "favor" and reupolster the chair, as now it has rips n tears. The "favor" was done in lieu of the fact that the fabric isnt covered. Oh yeah, even though the salesman assured me that it was covered, EVERYTHING was covered. Then about a month later i realized i was missing a key piece of furniture in my living room... Oh yeah my recliner. I call Olums only to find out that nothing had been done with the mechanism, and, i now had to contact Montage to place a claim on the recliner for replacement because the fabric was discontinued. Montage was contacted. They had me bring the recliner back to my home, the tech half put it back together. The recliner has now completely ruined my wall, not to mention cut a few of my siblings because these jackasses left nails sticking out the back of it. The guy comes takes pictures i then wait for a tesponse. No call no show. So i call them the rep tells me that a new recliner has been ordered and the store will call when its available... this was almost 2 months ago and still no call no show. Best believe ill be callin in the morning. My couch is also in need of replacement, but i dont think i have the time or patience. NEVER AGAIN! NO OLUMS, NO MONTAGE!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!

CLAIM # OM968582

This company is a complete scam! I started my claim process about 3 months ago. I at first they tried to deny the claim because they said the leather was defective. I requested that someone come out to look at the material in person, in which I was surprised they did. I was then told that the company is going to order the new material and someone would come out to reupholster the couch but this would take 6 to 8 weeks. After not hearing from anyone for 6- 8 weeks I called and they said that the material is now discontinued and I am now being transferred to the discontinued department. I have call three times on three separate days in which their message states someone will return your call with in 24 hours and no one has return any of my calls. The Attorney general should get involved because this is insurance fraud.

This company is a joke and a BIG RIP OFF!! I called to file a claim with this piece a crap company because the recliner I purchased a year ago no longer reclines. I told the rep that it happened around the holidays and I was unable to report it until now. Of course it was slightly over the 30 days and was told it was going to be honor.... so much for being honest!! We were out of town & had a sick father that just past away... I asked to speak to the reps manager & wouldn't you know it that tried to pass off another clerk. I then asked for the owner of the company and was promptly hung up on. I tried to call back and no one would answer my call!

Claim

I bought a sofa, along with 2, 000 dollars worth of other furniture, and the Sales rep was trying to offer me insurance. I did not want it, but I asked if it covered pet damage. He said, 'Yes, it covers ANYTHING" So, I bought Montage Furniture services plan for 50 bucks on my sofa only, specifically because it covered pet damage. Or so I thought. I called Montage today, and they first pretended not to have my account. When I told them it doesnt matter because I have everything in front of me, he magically found my account, then proceeded to tell me pet damage was not covered! A bunch of lying scam artists and I told that Montage I was going to complain to EVERYONE and sure enough, I will be doing this for DAYS because I am not happy about being lied to then told that I am screwed either way.
