Firefox reset is garbage
Firefox reset which most of troubleshooting info advice users to run in order to fix problems, slowdowns and instabilities of this program is a complete and utter piece of unadulterated garbage. Imagine you've setup the browser just the way you want and you've spent time and effort to get it all just right. Well kiss goodbye to everything once you run the reset because while you can restore all the way it was in chrome, firefox won't even back up and offer to revert much less reinstall for you all the plugins and extensions you had reconfiguring automatically with the settings you last had across all your extensions.
Unless you must use Firecrap for some specific reason stay away form it and use Chrome. For me it's been super stable and the only browser I've used so far in years. Even with 100 tabs open it my mac still chugs along just fine while Fireplop chokes with 10~15 tabs open.
Only reason I had to use it was to do some cross browser test... and after updating this egregious piece of garbage and using it for about 1h I was so, so happy there's Chrome for my regular use. I couldn't believe what an absolute piece of shite it was when it came to resolving problem... they took the approach of windows 98 and XP to solve PC issues... reinstall the OS and reset everything! Really? Go jump off a cliff, will ya?!
