Bad service

I went to MTN vaal mall regarding problem with my contract phone, the referred me to Vodacom as they don't have technicians and Vodacom refuse to help us as it is MTN contract phone. Know how the Hell will I get my phone fixed?? This is really bad guys.....

Rude behavior n bad service

Their soo rude n soo terrible they do not even respect nor reward loyalty. If for whatever reason u can't make payment they will not even have the curtesy to call but they will send threatening sms that's all. They will block the lines for incoming n out going calls why is incoming calls an issue how are they affected by that why block them.
Please stop being inhuman pathetic n bitter incoming calls have nothing to do with u so please refrain from being pathetic n blocking incoming calls 11

poor customer service

I blocked my phone because it was stolen. Now I found it, and I already sent my ID document, proof of purchase and affidavit!!! But my phone is still blocked. My ITC no. Is 169 850 53. And the number that I was using is 078 533 1536. Please help me.

CELLPHONE WARRANTY

I UPGRADED MY CONTRACT WITH MTN ON THE 02ND FEBRUARY 2014...7 DAYS AFTER THAT I HAD TO HAVE THE SONY EXPERIA REPAIR SINCE THE BACK COVER BROKE...I TOOK IT TO THE STORE THAT I UPGRADED IT FROM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS ALLREADY THE 8TH DAY ...WHICH MEANS THE GUARANTEE HAS FALLEN AND THEY WILL HAVE TO SEND THE PHONE TO THEIR REPAIR CENTRE TO EVALUATE...THEY CAME BACK TO ME REQUESTING ME TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR WHICH THEN COST ME R450...I PAYED IT CAUSE I WANTED TO USE THE PHONE AGAIN...THEY REAPIRED THE PHONE BY REPLACING THE BACK COVER...AND I COLLECTED AND USED THE PHONE....IN THE MEANTIME I DECIDED TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT WHICH MEANT I HAD TO PAY MTN R8622 TO CLOSE MY CONTRACT...I DID THAT AND EVERYTHING WAS OKAY UNTIL I TOOK A PICTURE IN THE WATER WITH THE PHONE...(THIS PHONE IS A EXPERIA Z1-YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE A PICTURE IN THE WATER WITH THE PHONE)...THIS WAS ULTIMATELY THE REASON WHY I DECIDED TO GO FOR THIS PHONE....NOT ONES WAS THERE ANY MENTION OF WARRANTY EXPIRY...I RETURNED THE PHONE AGAIN FOR REPAIR AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE PHONE HAS BEEN DETERMINED TO BE BER(BEYOND ... REPAIR) ...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR ME NOW ... IM SITTING WITHOUT A PHONE AFTER SPENDING R9072 ... THIS IS HOW MTN HAS TREATED ME AND I AM NOT HAPPY...AFTER BEING SUCH A LOYAL CUSTOMER TO THEM FOR YEARS...WHY ADVERTISE A PHONE WHICH YOU MAY USE IN WATER AND THEN TELL ME AFTER A REPAIR TO THE DEVICE THAT THE DEVICE HAS BEEN DEEMED WITH THE EFFECT OF BEING LIQUID DAMAGED...WHAT A JOKE...DON'T BUY SONY DEVICES ESPECIALLY NOT FROM MTN...MY NUMBER WAS 0837920096

Bad Service

I apply for a contract Bredasdorp store.I have been aproved via sms. After a while the store lady call for permission to activate the contract so long.They going to contact me when the stock arrive. Its now 3 WEEKS I STILL RECEIVE NONE AND THEY DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPPENED TO MY CONTRACT.THEY KEEP TELLING THEY WILL COMEBACK TO ME.

Poor customer service

The MTN - The Grove Pretoria has on the most unrule set of staff - When i presented them a problem I was told that they will look into it but there is nothing they can do - they do not care about it and they only work for MTN and I can go to hell. I am a customer of MTN for the past 10 year and this is how consultant treat client - I am changin to another cell company...

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. I was abroad for few months ago and I didn't make any payment arrangements. When i come back last month, my account was hand3ed over to MTN Attorneys. What happened is, they requested a certain amount before MTN can reconnect my Sim, i did pay that amount on the 15 of March till today my Internet is not working. I've calling everyday since then and i spoken almost the hole MTN staff and they are telling me different things. Now I was speaking to one of them she's still saying your line will be activated withing twenty four hours. Really I'm not happy at all. And if i call still i have to explain the same thing to who I'm talking to. Please help. The number of my Sim is 0718878329

VERY BAD CUSTOMER CARE

I have been an MTN cell phone contract subscriber for the last 14 years.For the last 3 months my itemised bill & statement have been arriving approximately a month late.The latest one I have not even received yet, which is way overdue.The irony of the matter is that I phoned the customer care and was promised on three ocasions that the itemised bill would be emailed to me, on the 4th ocasion I was even promised that it will be faxed to me.It has been a week now and I have received absolutely nothing for a service that I am paying for.What I would like to know is what does one have to do to get mtn to deliver, it appears that no one at mtn cares a hoot.I have now decided that cancelling my dealings with them is the only option.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER CARE

I'm Busi Nonyane, today i have a nightmare service.i was buying a battery and paying with my debit card.amount (R333)they make double transaction and they don't want to refund me.they say i must go to my bank.Absa says to reverse they will charge me money and because is the purchase, they will refund me after a week because they must first investigate.NOW R666 IS GONE, I DON'T HAVE A BATTERY, NOTHING FROM MTN TO PROVE THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE.

Transfer of Ownership Mess

On the 24 June 2011 I went to do a transfer for ONLY my number from my ex's MTN account. I dealt with Lee-Anne Welkin at the MTN Branch in York Street in George. Long story short, she also transferred one of my ex's numbers to my account, thus I have 2 numbers on my name. I went to do an upgrade on 19 August 2011 (When my number was FINALLY transferred to my name) I dealt with Thermaine, neither he nor Lee-Anne advised me there was another number on my name. I only found out there were 2 numbers on my name when my debit order pulled way more that it was suppose to on the 7 October 2011. I went to the branch in the Garden Route Mall and they advised me that there are 2 numbers and I need to go back to the MTN shop in York Street to sort this out. It is now actually 5 months and 1 day since I dealt with them first and his number is still on my name. I went to the shop today and Lee-Anne Welkin was extremely rude and her colleague Olga told me me I'm being sarcastic. They havent done anything about this matter that they screwed up. I had it with the incompetence of MTN. I never requested that 2nd number to be transferred and and I gave both Shops in George proof of the transfer.

I'm so dissapointed with mtn I've been using
Their network for my whole life.I took
A contract which include a hisense deal
I sent the voucher which their partner(hisense)
Didn't tell me that my tv licence is invalid.
I called them they gave me numbers but
Couldn't get hold of them after a month
I called mtn which is when I was told about
The tv licence i resend the voucher using my
Mom's tv licence still no response.I'm
Paying for something that I don't have in
My house.I'm begining to doubt paying
Until I have those tvs.

I had an Indian man phone me telling me that he is selling mtn contracts, I told him I already have a contract and am not interested. He responded 'maybe you should get manners' and put the phone down. He phoned from the following number 0733102995. I am very shocked by this terrible service...what is going on!

NSFWMOB - deducting unauthorised money from account

Recently, airtime has been deducted from my account without authorisation. The deductions are coming from a company/site called NSFWMOB. This is from a new PayAsYouGo sim card. A total of roughly R300.00 rand has been deducted from my account and MTN Service Providers do not appear to be concerned about the problem. Clearly MTN must have an arrangement with this organisation for them to be able to deduct airtime value so perhaps MTN is involved in this scam. There are numerous complaints about this on the internet, many of which involve MTN.

I have submitted an email to South African police (NCCommunicationServices@saps.org.za) in the hope that they investigate this issue further and put a stop to this airtime fraud.

Hi im having the same problem but on cell c, on Friday i loaded R100 and all gone, i was surprised as i had hardly made any calls, loaded R75 on Saturday and same only to realise that im subscribed to this company that i dnt know and they deducting all my money.im visitor from the UK came on Thursday and on Fri and sat im robbed, , , , what a disgusting thing...
