Inconsistent taste

I have a problem. I'm a Wheat Thins-aholic. It's so bad that I'll wake up in the middle of the night and frantically locate my box of Wheat Thins and start munching. Sometimes I'm not even fully awake and my eyes stay shut while eating! Yet, lately I've been buying fewer boxes of the Original variety and it's because the taste is quite inconsistent from cracker to cracker, and box to box. What I mean by that is the saltiness or spices on the exterior of the cracker are almost non-existent in an entire box. Or there might be a few crackers that are so saturated with the flavorings that they quite literally give me a chemical burn on my tongue. And yet, being dependent on the taste...when it's there...I would chow down a whole box of the-over-flavored chips. Alas, only about 2 out of 10 chips on average have any taste at all, anymore. The good news is I wrap up the wax bag without eating many chips because it's like a crack addict who got baking powder in his last score. But who am I kidding, Nabisco has had this problem with these crackers for years. It makes my mind wander inappropriately by contemplating what errors could be taking place so consistently at Nabisco? It's like, "Hey Nabisco, tell me how you make Wheat Thins." And their reply could be "We bake crackers and then apply flavoring such as salt on one side...sometimes." If pressed for "Why?" it would seem they would almost have to say "It's extremely difficult to salt food at our plant. We are trying to learn the process and this could take years, or, the life of the product." What's worse in my opinion is that if Nabisco can't even salt their own crackers, which would be a little like saying Ford isn't able to put a dashboard in most of their cars, what other basic ingredients are missing...or included at the plants? Mice droppings? Uncleanliness? Workers sneezing into the batches of crackers? I mean, hopefully none of those things but my gosh, if you can't get the TWO processes down: 1. Make crackers. 2. Salt crackers, then it may be reasonable to expect that NONE of the food health practices are followed.

Saltines

Saltines no longer taste good and they always seem stale. What happened? Did they change the recipe to be come so called healthy? Seems like they did. Bad idea. I think I will give up hoping I have just a run of bad boxes and find another cracker not 5hat you ruined the best one ever.
