Word Games

This company is a joke. I was contacted by Paige Wolford (sadly she is actually a supervisor) on a wednesday night last week (March 28th 2012), to discuss an amount I owed, which was 800 bucks. I let her know that I was receiving a check in the mail in the next few days, maybe a week at most, and I would be happy to take care of this in full. She demanded me to borrow money from somebody because I had to pay this by friday March 30th or my paperwork was being taken down to the court house to file charges etc possible garnish of wages. I called her back the next day to let her know I needed something mailed to me stating the amount I owed etc and she refused saying her office has been sending me stuff in the mail. (they never sent anything to me). I found this odd that she refused to mail me anything showing me an actual amount I owed. How do I know this isn't a scam? I finally convinced her to fax me the paperwork. By now this is monday april 2nd the next week. She then said i had until today (Friday) to pay this amount or I would have extra fees tacked on to the amount. I call her to let her know I am ready to make a payment and she is off today. WTF!!! She has been nothing but rude to me the entire time, despite my cooperation. It is so ridiculous. I have called her back when she has left messages, offered to pay the amount that was owed, have done nothing but be pro active in taking care of my debt. I can't believe how this collection agency works. They pretend to be working for an attorney and make you feel like you can do nothing but pay this amount in full in a day or two or see them in court. They have hi pressure tactics, and its should be against the law how they do business. I can actually pay the payment, but what about the poor people out there that can't due to lack of work, the economy, etc?? Why do they act like they are going to garnish wages, call your work and talk to your supervisor, call your references. like I said before this company is a joke!

Word Games

A guy from this company had been calling my work, left messages asking me for my employers payroll department so they can contact them to garnish my wages. I've been researching the web and they can only garnish wages once they have obtained a judgement from court & before they can get one, they need to serve me legally. The guy had also contacted people on my reference list and are threatening them to give my info so he can stop the sherrif from picking me up. I'm not an idiot, sad thing is I offered to settle this debt by payment arrangement which is the only thing I can do considering my financial situation. They refused. They are collecting a payday loan I defaulted on orig amount of $2600 which I have already paid $2400 thru the payday loan company. He's claiming the reason the balance is higher is due to interest...I'm researching this again and most sites state there is a cap for this type loan bec of its outrageous rates. I'd like to know how I can stop him from calling me at work and other people discussing personal information. I provided him my cell # which I let run to voice mail but it hasnt stopped him from calling around. I told him only to call me when he's ready to accept my pmt offer, but if not, to stop calling. Any one know how to make the calls stop permanently?
