I received a letter from Nationstar in April of 2017, informing me that I no longer was obligated to pay PMI on my home mortgage loan. It said that as of February, 2017, my PMI was no longer required and that effective May 1, 2017, no PMI would be charged.

Since the letter stated that PMI was paid up as of February 2017, I realized that I had made mortgage payments in Feb, March, and April and wondered what happened to the extra PMI payments made for that month.

First, I got on their website and pulled up my account. I went back as far as one year, and did not see any charges for PMI on my statement. I then called Nationstar and was transferred to their PMI department, I explained that I had just received a letter from them, but that I could not find where I was charged for PMI for over a year, but that my monthly payment hadn't changed for quite a while (at least two years).

So, if I wasn't being charged PMI, where did the money I've been paying go?

I wrote a letter to the President and CEO, sent it certified mail, return receipt. After 1 month of no response, I sent another letter to him, (again certified mail, return receipt) requesting they contact me to straighten this out. It's been two weeks, since the return receipt came back to me; but still no contact from Nationstar Mortgage.

Is anyone else being overcharged for PMI? I want to start a class action lawsuit against these people who don't even have the decency to get in contact with a customer who has written to them twice??
