I like neeya nanna show. Have seen it for many years now but I feel if you are airing a debate show the host has to be unbiased. Based on my observations, I can tell you the following:
1.If the show is about having kids vs. not, it will favor having kids regardless of whether the couple wants one or not (that is very much an option now irrespective of what our 'culture' dictates, women and men have rights to decide whats best for them whether you like it or not)
2.It the topic about having kids early on or plan for kids it will favor just mindlessly have kids as soon as you get married irrespective of how many points is kept forward on the expenses, mental maturity etc that is required for raising a child. Because I guess as soon as you are married you attain enlightenment on how to raise and provide for a child. And God forbid if the topic be about one child vs many, the show will never favor a single child. (Lets all make as many as we can then, why stop at 2?)
3. It the topic is about love vs arranged, love will always be supported. Doesn't matter if people say that they genuinely want to consider the opinion of their parents. Thats equivalent to being a zombie. Of course if you love him marry him, no matter who or what he does in life and no matter what age you make this decision. Because hey we don't need a brain.
4. IF the topic is about intercaste marriages, the show will favor intercaste marriage but still will be against using interstate i.e. north indian traditions traditions in marriage. Pls explain this one to me. You want everyone to be treated same but you don't want to loose tamizh traditions. Then why should people of individual castes give up the same?. Tamizh traditions are different for each caste so why should they give that up by doing intercaste marriage?. Worst is the fact that people aren't giving up tamizh traditions they just want to incorporate tamizh traditions AND traditions of north like maybe mehendi and sangeeth. What's wrong with that?. The most irritating part is you don't do your research when it comes to traditions of other state. There was a guy in the show that said he used chenda in his wedding and one other brilliant guy pointed out, 'oh do mayalis use nadaswaram then why should we incorporate chenda? Look at all the poor nadaswaram people going out of business' If your team did basic research you'd have found malayalis also use nadaswaram in their marriages and not chenda but you dont care do you?.
How is this an unbiased debate show then?
