Contract

On June 11,2017 Aaron Wagstaff and his crew was in my neighborhood, selling Alarm Service, I invited him into my home, heard the presentation, I like what I was told about the company, he ran my credit told me he could offer this service only if I had A1 credit. I was told I can sign up for 12 months, I need to call prior to 12 months or the contract would be renewed automatically. I did as I was advised by the sales person (Aaron Wagstaff 801 971 5688 that's his phone number).When I informed the customer service rep I want to discontinue my service with the company, because I was not pleased with the service I am receiving, I was told I had to pay$4200.00 to get out of the contract, because I signed the contract for 42 months, I do remember signing the electronic contract, I trusted Aaron, he told me the documents I was signing electronically is the same as the paper ones I signed. I believed him, because I was looking at the documents I signed.
I had no reason not to believe the sales person, I was shocked, upset to learn I was duped into signing contract for an alarm company for 42 months. Who does that, this is unethethical, not good business practice, and This Company should be upfront and transparent. If I had known and sign the contract for the 42 months, I agree I abide by the written contract, this was fraud I should not be held responsible or be locked into a contract, I was not aware I had signed until August 14th. I am at my wits end I need for this company to be investigated for their fraudulent practices. I have copies of the document I signed in his presence, should you need it I will be able to provide copies.
The doorbell (Sky bell ) was not working I called the North star Alarm to report the doorbell (camera) was not working, as a result lights were stolen from my front yard,,, if the camera was working I would have seen or identified the person who stole my property, when I called customer service, July 2016 the customer service rep told me to get a Phillips Screwdriver and he will walk me through the steps in fixing, the contract states that this is their responsibility to maintain the equipment, they sent a repair man out after I told him I don't have a Phillips Screw Driver.
The repair man came and replace the doorbell in July he was 7 hours late. In August the doorbell stopped working again. There was a humming noise coming from my upstairs was very loud, I thought my Exhaust Fan was broken, I call an electrician to come in to replace the exhaust fan, when he got to my home he informed me, it was the Chime from the doorbell, the repairman had wired the doorbell incorrectly it burned out the chime. I sent the invoice to North Star Alarm, Tyler customer service rep told me it is not their problem, it is my responsible, their repair men are professional, he then hang up the phone on me. This company is unprofessional, unethethical, the need to have full disclosure to their customers and take responsibility for their actions. Please investigate, I would not want this to happen to another person.

My resolution is for me to get out of this contract, I was not aware I signed up for 42 months, I consider myself an intelligent person that cares about my credit, I would not have signed a contract for 42 months with a company I had no prior relationship with. Tyler told me on the phone today 8/21/17 I was lucky the contract was not for 60 months. Please investigate and respond. I will notify the Federal Trade Commission, I am at my wits end, this is wrong, just a fraudulent way to do business.
