Dear Peter Bozym and Jim Milne Assistant Commissioner Office of NSW Legal Services, students have now waited over a week for your reply but have not yet received one. We have checked with our embassy and we are told that the solicitor mentioned is breaking the law and your office is doing NOTHING to stop it!

This letter is to inform you that students are very angry and upset with the unethical, unprofessional and bizarre manner in which solicitor Patrick Maurice Cunningham and we feel that he, is acting out unethical and aggressive manners in order to get money not owed to him.

As Uni students we are writing to you to protest against unscrupulous behaviour by solicitor Maurice Patrick Cunningham; we ask for your help to quickly end this unfortunate behaviour which is causing needless stress, anger and anxiety for students. If the issues are not resolved by the mid- next week we will be calling for a boycott of NSW Universities and tourism, we will not support a state which doesn’t support its students against unethical behaviour.

We are aware that a student has contacted your department several times asking for your advice in regards to the unethical and unprofessional behaviour of Mr Patrick Maurice Cunningham towards students.

We find it disrespectful and unethical that your office to try and flog them off. Should we receive the same treatment, be assured that students will be opening up a facebook page, twitter account and blog (which is advice we have read in a newspaper article from one of your associates) to warn and ensure that future students NSW Legal Commission doesn’t support students.

Students are sadden and surprised by the lack of help and support against unfair and unethical treatment of students in this state.

Students would like to have someone who we can speak to in regards to unethical behaviour by a NSW solicitor; and we shouldn’t have to contact our embassy for help.

Shame on you!

It’s strongly felt that Mr Cunningham has used unethical behaviour to illegally evict a student from a property which he claimed to have authority over. The case was taken to the CTTT and Mr Cunningham lost the case, in order not to be sued by the student, Patrick made an agreement with the student to store the student’s belongings and would return them upon an agreed amount of payment from the student. But since this time Mr Cunningham has since dishonoured the agreement and continually prevented the student from accessing his personal belongings. Mr Cunningham has also prevented students from paying an agreed amount to him in order to collect the items; he has also demanded money which is not owned to him and we also strongly feel that he has been bullying, intimidating and eerily erratic when we have tried to contact him to resolve the matter.

We also feel that Mr Cunningham is perceived to have used bullying and intimidating tactics to try and get more money from the student, and also feel that Mr Cunningham unethically attempted to embarrass and belittle the student by cc’ing the student’s professors and business associates on matters which was no concern to them. We are also concerned as to how Patrick was able to access some of these personal email address which on not listed on the internet.

The prevention of the student to collect their personal items which includes computers and university books is causing the student to be held back from being successful in their course.

We have followed all ethical channels in order to try and pay Mr Cunningham and to retrieve the personal items. But he has continually been abusive, belittling, intimidating and bullying in his demands for more money which is NOT owed to him! He has also been very unethical in preventing a proper time in which the items can be collected.

The last course of action was to contact the NSW Police department and ask for their help. Patrick has since appeared to have been aggressive, erratic and intimidating towards police. During this time Mr Cunningham became abrasive and abusive with the police officer and we have since been advised to contact your office for advice.

As mentioned students do not like hearing about other students being bullied or intimidated by and we will not put up with this behaviour from university associates; we also do not like to hear about universities or their offices or links who ignore students who are asking for help to resolve issues with unethical behaviour from your university, it’s uncalled for and is against the goodwill and sprit of academia.

We would like to have a date in which we can pick up the students items before mid-next week and we would like a reply back from your office tomorrow with either advice on how the matter can be resolved by mid next week or with recommendations as to who and where we can turn to, to end this matter.

Any failure to do so will result in international students calling for a boycott of Sydney university and NSW tourism. We do not appreciate the lack of help and support shown to students being treated unfairly and unethically in this state.

We look forward to a reply and or resolution to this matter by tomorrow.

I would today like to talk about the NSW Legal Services Commissioner in Australia who has seriously failed in his duty of care to his Clients,very active in protecting Naughty Lawyers in NSW Australia.
I have been a victim of one of the largest Compensation Law Firm Keddies lawyers who are no longer in business, directors of Keddies lawyers declared themselves bankrupt. Keddies lawyers were involved in one of the biggest overcharging Scam. I was financially raped by this Legal Firm. ( Please go through the attached legal Bill which will shock you all. I took stand against this firm and won big time.
I lodged a Complaint with the NSW legal Services Commissioner who got my Bill assessed by an independent Cost Assessor whose findings were that I was grossly overcharged, at the same time I filed an application with the NSW supreme Court to have my Legal bill Assessed, NSW Supreme Court cost Assessor findings were in my favour and the matter was referred to the NSW Legal Services Commissioner to see whether a disciplinary action can be taken.
At this point of time NSW legal Services Commissioner has before him his own Independent cost assessor Assessment and NSW Supreme Court Findings in my favour but I was devastated to note that NSW Legal Services Commissioner ignored all the positive evidence in my favour, favoured keddies lawyers and dismissed my matter which is outrageous. there wre more than 50 Complaints against this law firm and majority of them wrre dismissed which is outrageous.

during the time when NSW legal Services Commissioner was Investigating my complaint, He told me on the Phone If i did not stop talking about Keddies lawyers than he has to do something and not long after this threat he tried to have me locked up in a Psychiatric institution but badlt failed. i invite you all to please Google Mohammed Tariq (Keddies) to know the truth. this will strongly support my claim that NSW legal Services commissioner is lazy and incompetent He is waste of the space and NSW tax payers Money. he was appointed Commissioner in 1994 , has done nothing to help Legal Profession to improve but it is worse than before the Commission was born.
recently justinian a Prominent law Magazine has r NSW reported that NSW Legal services commissioner is suffering from the symptoms of the dysfunctionality. I further note that NSW Legal Services Commissioner has NSW Lawyers Disciplinary Register which has naughty Lawyers names missing, NSW Legal Services commissioner has failed to explain why so.I am calling for an independent enquiry in to the conduct of this so called Commission and ask you al to Please support my Call. I urge you to please E mail the NSW Legal Services commissioner Steve mark on [email protected] asking him to please resign as he has failed as a Commissioner and is a burden on the NSW tax Payers.
