Shifty accounting practices
Banks in general profited a total of 34 billion dollars in 2018 in overdraft fees alone. This money is gathered up from primarily low income users. PNC double debited my account a fictional $400, creating a $337 overdraft, and manufacturing a $36 fee, which they immediately returned once I complained. At no time was my account overdrawn. Question is, how many people presume computers don't lie and banks are their friends? Contriving overdrafts creates easy money, yes?

HELOC Mishandling
Very odd, maybe something underhanded going on. After 4 years PNC changed my HELOC acccount number (a new IT system?) and stopped making automated payments. While they say they did call, it was not done well if I know the right calls, sounding like scam calls. They did take a few payments and did not charge late fees, but several of the (too many) 'customer support' people I spoke to were very strongly 'blaming' me. While they spammed me with snail mails, they also 'blamed' me for not reading the mailings they say they sent. There was never any hint of my disinterest in payments. Now I will pay-off the loan and move on most likely. I wonder if there is some driver for this from PNCs side, as a way to make or save money somehow by terminating these loans?

Loan
I have had a loan out with this company close to 14 years and have not seen my loan go down. They never stake responsibility for their lack of action and always blame a third party. They have been rude and lying to me. I have been trying to modify my loan since February only to be turned down in June. They told me
My loan couldn’t be modified because of the 3rd party. So basically they New this in February but still had me
Do a lengthly application. In June I put in a settlement just to be turned down in August and i quote we want all your money and you should pry to someone higher. What a horrible company. I want to sue them. Can anyone help
Me?

PNC fraud of not returning overpaid loan amount
I took loan from the PNC Equipment Finance for an equipment finance on 6/12/2017. I paid off the loan on 4/3/2018 for the payoff amount. The payoff amount was provided by PNC on 3/22/2018. However, PNC withdrew the monthly loan payment amount from my bank also on 4/3/2018. When I contacted PNC to return the over payment, PNC equipment finance's customer service (
[email protected]
) emailed me that the over payment amount ($564.26) will be refunded to my bank account by May 2nd. Today is 6/14/2018 and I still didn't receive the refund of $564.26 in my bank account. I sent emails on 5/4/18 and 5/11/18 to their customer service requesting update and those emails were not answered by PNC. PNC bank is not returning the over-paid money and practicing Unfair and Deceptive Acts and doing consumer fraud in this case. Can any lawyer takes this case and file a class action lawsuit to stop PNC's Unfair and Deceptive Acts and save other consumers from PNC's fraud?

Loan Modification
In 2011, my spouse and I became in a financial hardship. We tried to work with PNC mortgage to help us. We were told by PNC to stop payments, not wanting to we did. After 5 months, they finally did the loan modification. The problem is that they added almost $11,000.00 additional fees on our loan. At that time, we had no options except to except. We had always paid on time. How can they charge that much fees, when we where willing to pay but they wouldn’t except anything until we quit paying. It ruined our credit and now we are 65 and 70, we still owe payments for another 33 years. So unfair! We can never retire, due to we owe PNC forever. We could sale, but all our equity is the $11,000.00 in fees. So we couldn’t buy anything else.
Yes, I agree we did it to ourself but it’s not our fault, that we lose our jobs. PNC took advantage of us and now we have to live with it.

PNC Interest Overcharging and Interest Manipulation
Consumers must check their monthly (second) mortgage statements for excessive interest charges or interest manipulation.
We had a PNC bank mortgage for over 10 years and on three separate occasions totaling 19 months they arbitrarily increased the rate and overcharged up to 3.5% more than our loan agreement per month. We had to file a lawsuit to simply get them to respond and provide the history of all statements. PNC claims the overcharges were a coding error and, to date, refuse to provide a full accounting of refunded fees and interest. While the truth is that it's happened multiple times on a single loan and we suspect we're not the only people that this happens to. While ensuring that interest rates are properly charged per a loan agreement is the most basic function of their lender, in our experience, PNC is not only negligent but guilty of predatory lending. Contact us if you have also been overcharged or if they made it extremely difficult to garner a proper modification once they were negligent on your loan. We're considering a class action.

Predatory equity loan based on fraudulant assessment
2006 Requested 50K boat loan after 10K down. Nation City Bank said no boat loans. Pushed equity loan on home. Told them house and property not worth much, and not even insurable. Told we would "SUPRISED", as they assess by computer. Next morning bank calls - "come up get your money". House worth $100K ???. Presented equity check for 50K. - 30K line of credit, and two credit cards at $10K each. Used from equity, and line total of 66K. 11yrs. later house condembed, and scheduled by city for demolition. After 11 years, and having paid back apex 106K We could not afford 2 house payments. Bank profit = 40K for committing loan crimes. It remains on my credit report as "written off" (very bad). Nothing about National City's violation of anti-trust laws. Credit cards were paid off of course, because we did use them some. With a clear conscience I informed now P.N.C. Bank that the 2 house payments were impossible. I offered voluntary repossession of their 100K house with no reply. They covered their sins with "written off"! Screwing never stops with National City, and P.N.C. George W. Humphreys Sr. McKeesport Pa.

PNC mtg (terrible communication!!!)
Oh my gosh!!
Not sure where to start but PNC put us into foreclosure TWICE even though payments were being made!!!
I have a file SO THICK of papers (copies) that they insisted we FAX to them. We did AND I copied everything they asked for for MY OWN records. This file has now escalated to a box because there is so much. PNC has a terrible system and I am not sure if its done this way purposely so they come out on top OR if they truly don't know what they are doing.
Either way, we have been VERY UPSET for several years over this because we were taken advantage of just because we "asked" a simple question.( I.E. my wife lost her job in 2008, do we have any options out there to help us?)
After that it was so scary, we had NEVER missed a mtg payment. but we had the county at our door, not once but TWICE to serve us foreclosure/eviction papers. WHAT??? We were NEVER behind.....where is our payment going?? Our checks have been cashed but we are supposedly behind???
Frustration at its finest!
Now we are considering remortgaging and after having a specialist look over our paper work, we see that we were scammed out of $25,000 because we (ourselves) didn't know what we were reading/seeing. As we asked for help, we were thrown into a HAMP program that helped lower our payment BUT charged us 25 GRAND to do so. THANK YOU, we now OWE more than our home is valued at. After 11 years here, we are back to square one!! PNC IS A JOKE! Do NOT deal with them!!

PNC mortgage
In 2008 I lost my job.
My husband was still working.
I called PNC just to see what our options were in helping us lower our payments to make it easier on us. It was “just a question “. We had NEVER been behind in our mtg payments. PNC through us into a program and no one knew where our payments were even though we continued to make them.
We were served eviction noticed TWICE by the county. Had to go to court to prove payments were made. We received many threatening letters from PNC stating we needed to get in contact with them only to NEVER get through to anyone. Even our local PNC bank (mortgage division) tried to help us get through with no avail.
I have a VERY THICK file of ALL our communications.
If there is a lawsuit going in this area...I’d love to take part.
PNC scared the crap out of us for NO reason.

PNC Mortgage
I have a very thick file with PNC communications and have been VERY taken advantage of by PNC on so many levels. This has been ongoing since 2008/2009. If EVER there is a class action lawsuit...I want to know! There seems to be about a 45-50K discrepancy in payments and where they have gone. I could go on and on but there is just so much. PNC has been my living nightmare. Originally my loan was with National City and until PNC bought National City. I still have my original loan from 2004 and an interest rate of 5.875%. I was told yesterday (for the first time) that I had a loan modification. Although they, and myself, has always referred to it as a repayment plan. NOTHING MAKES SENSE!

PNC Mortgage-National City Mortgage
Several years back I applied for The Home Affordable Modification Program and was told that I was eligible. PNC stated because my Mortgage was not reaffirmed that they would not do it!!
In November I called PNC Mortgage in Miamisburg OHIO, I filled out all of the information and was told my VA loan was going fine. Because my Original Mortgage was thru PNC, they were told that my Mortgage was not reaffirmed over 7 years ago. I was told no problem since it was going to be a new mortgage. I was told I had to have a $375 Appraisal, $50 Pest Inspection and $17 Credit Report. Which I paid for all of this and everything passed. The Closing was to take 60 days, 52 days into it only 8 days until closing. I got a call that said because my loan was not reaffirmed they would not refinance. I was told it was not right, but there was nothing I could do!! If anyone knows something I can do, please let me know!

illegal mortgage refinance
I have a friend who is currently going through a nightmare with PNC on her home. She received no paperwork from PNC. No statements where did her money go? On her original mortgage she got a little behind two months before with National City and refinanced with the" making home affordable" by Obamas group. She qualified and signed on with PNC ,now after two years of never missing a payment PNC say she is not qualified that the home is too expensive for her and they are now proceeding with foreclosure. They will give her no paperwork or tell her where her payments went. She has made all payments on time and now is being told she no longer qualifies and foreclosure is eminent . She is hoping to sell her house before they do and get some equity back. This is illegal banking practice at the least. Where is our government while the banks are stealing our homes?
