I had cooked in the air fryer about 3 -4 times and would notice the unit sometimes would not completely shut off. One day I smelled something burning and went into the kitchen the the air fryer was on fire. I attempted to douse it with water and in began spreading, grab my fire extinguisher from supplied by my apartment mgmt., it was broken. Grab the fryer while flames were pouring out ran down the back stairs to the ground level and through it on the ground. My neighbor heard me screaming and he came out saw it on fire and ran to get water to put the fire out.
