Prestige Slate - Disgraceful Company

I would advise against having any dealings with Prestige Slate, no customer service whatsoever - we received no proof for our order, no responses to my emails & their phone line is permanently on answer machine. I opened a dispute via PayPal & finally Prestige Slate contacted me to ask why as manufacture had started ( even though I hadnt seen or signed off proof!) they then told me my order had been despatched, then the next message said they wouldn't despatch it until I cancelled my claim. I said I would do this once they'd sent me the proof and confirmed despatch & delivery dates, but I never heard back from them & PayPal upheld my claim & refunded me. They also said that all the complaints online about them were from competitor companies not genuine customers! I have definitely been a genuine customer of theirs, but I won't make that mistake again. I will be contacting Trading Standards about Prestige Slate & asking PayPal why they're still affiliated with them.

A bit low customer service

How do we stop payment to Prestige Slate. We are also going through hell trying to get our house plaque. 5 weeks down the line... numerous excuses.. answer machine. no answer machine. nothing. Is there any other contact numbers or is that too much to ask.

Great disappointment

I ordered a slate sign in July 2011 and believe it or not I still haven't received the sign as paid for. As with previous comments they provide a number of excuses but basically they are stealing from people and are getting away with it. I've contacted Consumer Advice in the area and they are dealing with my complaint, they must have a huge file on this company. I did receive an unsigned cheque from Prestige Slate in January, so clearly couldn't pay that one in. A disgraceful company.

Great disappointment

I have had to exact same issue with this company and I must say their customer service is appalling and they are trying underhand tactics to get out of giving me a refund .

I ordered and paid for my item on the 07/02/12 and it took until 13/02/12 to receive an acknowledgement from the company. This included the proof of my order. Manufacture of my order was to start upon confirmation of the proof or 24 hours after the e-mail was sent. I replied on the 13/02/12 so work should have started that day according to them.

21 days after my order I have not received my order. I e-mailed the company asking for an update which never received a reply so I raised this as a dispute with Paypal. The next day somebody (no name attached) e-mailed back stating that I can not cancel an order after 24 hours- not that this is written anyway in terms and conditions and stated they my order is waiting collection (I live 190 miles away) and they have had problems with their deliveries due to the amount of orders they have had.

They also told me that they can not dispatch my order unless I cancel my Paypal complaint as the money has been taken from their account and they have not been paid. Well I checked my bank account and the money was withdrawn by Paypal on 10/02/12.

I have told I am entitled to a refund if delivery has not been received after 30 days under the distance selling regulations otherwise I will be contacting Trading Standards.

Most unimpressed with their dodgy practices and poor communication
