Abnormally high bill price

My Jan-Feb electric bill says that the usage was less than the previous month, but the value is higher. (???) There is a third part charge from from Alpha Gas and Electric LLC, which I did not signed up for. This extra fee is charging three times what I normally pay. I try to talk to someone over the phone about this, but all the calls I've made with PSE&G have a terrible signal on their end, making the communication awful! I couldn't be more disappointed!

Deliberate Shutoff under Tornado warnings

PSEG shut off my families power with no notice.As soon as Ii knew I called numerous phones on hold 30 min waits due to storm.Finally I get a rep that doesn't hasnge up on me.I was told good luck with that yourr on bottom of list.
Why would. Utility company shut off power knowing they couldn't get back for days
84 year old on hospice 2 children 3 dogs our 3000 dollars worth freezer food gone
May 4000 volts of KARMA blow your ASSES TO HELL

Gas shut off

My mom’ s gas was shut off in September 2017. I visited her at the end of Dec 2017 and found out she had no heat and no hot meals for months. She was found on the floor in a dazed state on Jan 3rd and rushed to the hospital where she passed away on January 14th.

Thank you for killing my mother PSE&G. She was only 71 and too young to die.

Power shutoff

My electric and heat was shut off yesterday for nonpayment:( I tried to pay them everything I had and guarantee them a great deal of money when I get paid but I get paid biweekly and can only pay them next Friday. They didn’t care. I’m a full time working nurse with autistic twin boys. My husband left me and I can’t get child support according to the state of NJ until my divorce is finalized. I’m barelt making ends meet and was almost evicted but I was able to work doubles and earn 4000 dollars to avoid eviction and now my electric gets shut off. My boys are afraid of the dark and it’s 60 degrees in my apartment and dropping. I don’t have money to eat but always make sure my boys have everything they need. It’s going to be a very sad Hanukkah and Christmas for us because my grandparents raised me and they both died traumatically. My real mom is homeless herself and can’t help me at all and I don’t know my real dad. I have no family that will help me. Please help me I’m begging and praying.

PSE&G prices are way too high

For over 6 yrs I've been fighting with PSE&G because my bill went from 155 to 900 in 5 months to it's now $8,000. When it was $5000 they changed the meters and admitted that my original meter readings were inconsistent. The new meter is more consistent. But, they refuse to rectify the past mistake and are constantly shutting me off or threatening to shut me off because I cannot afford to pay a $1200.00 bill every month on the specific day that they assigned as per the horrific payment plan that they set up with out giving us a say in what we could afford to pay.
They need to understand that their bill is not they only bill that people have and just because they want money on a specific day dosen't mean that money Is going to magically appear in my bank account. Also, shutting off power is not just shutting off lights. I can't store my food, I can't cook for my family, it's either too hot or too cold, my son can't use his nebulizer if necessary. It's life threatening to shut off people's power and gas. People have died because PSE&G shut their power off and they've had no way to pay. So they use canldes that burnt down their home or generators that leaked carbon monoxide and killed families.
They need to set up more reasonable payment plans or find more efficient ways for people to get help that doesn't require needlessly standing on long lines in completely different cities that they dont live in and losing hours at wrk trying to beg for help from over used charities that never have any money and that can't provide adequate solutions.
When is someone going to fix this broken system? Or, better yet, is there a class action law suit that I can participate in?

PSE&G ripoff

My problem is my electric bill. For two months it has been very high due to this "Delivery and system charge." I know what my normal bill is usually in June and July. For the past 4 years it has been almost the same. This is horrendous. It is the delivery and service charge which is doubling my bill. This is a corrupt scheme from this utility and should be stopped.

PSEG

So I come home to branches left on the side of my property which are hanging off my fence and blocking sight to oncoming traffic for anyone that lives on my block. The fence was also broke and swaying in the breeze; my dog (125lbs worth) goes out throughout the day could have escaped very easily and gotten hurt as it is a busy street. PSEG decided to change a poll and needed trees out of the way. They also didn't tell me they were planning to do this or let me know that the fence was broke. I call to complain and they send me a claim form, they have to investigate which they won't do until I get receipts for the work done and send pictures of the damage along with the claim form. I am told it is my responsibility to take care of the branches. Meanwhile my fence has bungee cords around it to keep it closed for now as it won't be getting fixed in the near future cause I can't afford it.
Has something like this happened to anyone else?? Any suggestions on what I can do?

Many!!!!

So I come home to big branches left on the side of my property, in the way of oncoming traffic to anyone that is coming out of my block (I'm on a corner lot) and leaning on my fence; which was broke as well. My dog is outside throughout the day and could have gotten through the fence and got hurt. No one bothered to call me to let me know that they were coming or that the fence was broke. I call them and they send me a claim form; they have to investigate the situation, I should pay and give them receipts and they will see if they should pay.
I don't have the money or the strength (hurt back) to do this myself. anyone had something like this happen??

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE

THE REPRESENTATIVES I HAVE DEALT WITH ARE RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS. I WISH I HAD THEIR NAMES TO PUT THEM ON BLAST. IF YOU ARE BEHIND ON YOUR BILL, THEY SPEAK TO YOU IN A MANNER THAT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE INCAPABLE, LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN BEHIND ON SOMETHING OR LIKE ITS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THEY WOULD EVER EXPERIENCE HARDSHIP. AND THE SPECIFIC PEOPLE I SPOKE WITH SOUND SO GHETTO AND UNEDUCATED, ITS RIDICULOUS. LIKE HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME IN A RUDE MANNER WHEN YOU CANT EVEN SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH? I HAVE CALLED TO ASK FOR HELP AND HAVE GOTTEN HUNG UP ON. I POURED MY SOUL OUT OVER THE PHONE BECAUSE I WAS UPSET AND SOME BITCH TOLD ME SHE HAS NO SYMPATHY FOR ME. I LITERALLY HATE PSE&G CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I PLAN TO MOVE AWAY FROM THEIR SERVICE AREA BECAUSE THEY REALLY DONT DESERVE MY HARD EARNED MONEY ANYMORE. FUCK PSE&G

Shut off

I'm on a payment plan. Last week I went down to PSEG and physically made my monthly payment. Today, I come home to the power shut off. No notice, no explanation, nothing! When I called, they said I didnt make my monthly payment as agreed. When I told them I went down last week and payed, they said they had no record of my payment. They also said I should of called them and reported to them my payment. Call to report my payment? Isn't going to them good enough?? I then had to pay the entire balance regardless of my prior payment agreement and payment made. I'm still waiting for my power to be turned back on.

Shut off power

Pse&g came and shut of my power and I pay the bill the same time they send a guy to reconnect the power on after 4 hour. Then he drop the meter and broke it, it's been more than 22 hours now I am still without power. I call the 24 hour service for a representive to my food have 24 before its go bad so I guss I have 2 hour more before my babies food go bad.

unfair practice and poor service

I spoke with a customer service represented named Karen. I explained that I have a service agreement and would like to have my stove checked. The Rep stated that my past due balance of $240.00 must be paid in order for PSE&G to schedule an appointment. I then explained that I was given 24 months to satisfy my balance of $6,055.00 for a chimney and water heater replacement that was installed in April of 2015 by PSE&G. I mentioned that it seems unfair to hold me responsible for my stove. She explained that’s PSE&G’s policy. Each month, I’ve paid more than my equal payment plan ($15.00) plus monthly usage (equal payment plan of ($85.00) for nearly two years. I am and was not satisfied with the work and was under the impression that PSE&G would finish the job and repair the damages to my siding. I asked to speak with a manager.
I then spoke with Mr. Joe Reilly. I explained to him the facts about the incomplete work to the chimney and damage to my siding. Mr. Reilly explained that once I pay the balance, they would have someone contact me regarding the chimney.
I’m afraid that I will not be compensated for the damage to my siding nor they will complete the job. In the meantime, I can’t use my oven because PSEG won’t fix until balance is paid.
Today, PSE&G sent A-1 Affordable Construction Rep to look at chimney and siding damage. I expressed my displeased with the completion of the job and damages to house. He counted the number of damaged siding panels and called his office. He said A-1 company is not responsible and left.
Now I have to pay for damage to my house and an incomplete chimney job so PSE&G can look at my stove which has a service agreement on.
The little guy gets screwed again.

estimated meter mreadings

I have been having issues with PSE&G doing actual meter readings. this has been an ongoing issue for years now & despite my repeated requests the meter readers just walk right past my house. I have actually had to chase them down. I am set to get notifications when they are going to come & I am always home on the dates they are scheduled to come. our meters are in the garage & they are supposed to knock/ring bell to gain access to the meter. They NEVER do. I have repeatedly gone down to the PSE&G office in Bayonne about this requesting that they actually do their job & show up when they are scheduled to. I can not sit on my front porch all day waiting for them to drive by so I can hail them down. they should be doing their jobs & come up to my door & ring the bell. I have been doing this for the last several months, going down, requesting readings, getting notifications they are coming, then wait all day for nothing. It has been 9 months (April 20th 2016 was last reading) with estimated readings They finally show up a in the last week to do a reading & I get my bill today & its OVER $1000. We finally got them to put in the remote read eclectic meter & I have been requesting info on getting the remote read gas meter but keep getting the run around & no one will give me the info to set up an appointment for this to be done. If they cant be bothered to do their job & walk up to my door to gain access, especially when I have been requesting it for months, then they should supply me with the remote read gas meter so I don't have to deal with this BS estimated readings any more. since June of 2014 i have gotten 23 Automatic estimation readings. This is unacceptable!!

Cutting my power

Last night my power was turned off. I called pseg and made a payment of 400 to restore it. They then tell me it may not go back on tonight.. So I reply " it's amazing you turned it off with in minutes. But now to turn it on its going to take hours" having said that no one came. I had to remove my 1 yr old from my apartment because it was too cold.
Today my power is STILL NOT ON. They tell me that someone has to physically be here for the power on. So at 4:30pm I said I need this in so my baby and I can come home. I'm still in the dark and cold while my son sleeps at grandma's house again. And they have yet to show up... I hate this company and I hope they all go to hell.

no show!

Had ancustomers adt for Sunday,1/1@ 8am to 12.to fix my boiler. No ONE SHOWED,NO ONE CALLED.
When i calld at 11ish, i was told he came and no one answered my door or my phone.THATS A LIE! I was simply told i can be rescheduled for TUESDAY 8am to 12.....which i have to give up a days pay to be here for !!
when i asked to speak to a supervisor, hoping they could call the lying tech,i was told thats IMPOSSIBLE.
I begged the supervisor to help,because i have a NEWBORN, at thst piont she decided to tell me "the tech wouldnt lie about being here if he wasn't "

Shut off for no reason

I have had to deal with PSE&G for years.

I still remember their endless stream of screw ups restoring power after Hurricane Sandy. I also remember years of grossly over estimated bills because they were to lazy to send out someone to read the meter.

Recently, I rented a new apartment. They sent me a bill with no meter readings on it and a long form to fill out. I paid the unexplained bill in full via online banking. After I received no follow up bills, I tried calling them. I was put on eternal hold.

Yesterday, some sadistic SOB PSE&G employee disconnected my electrical service. When I caught their employee tampering with the meter and politely asked him what he was doing, he refused to answer me. I then politely asked again. Again, he refused to answer. Once he was done, he then lied to me about calling his manager to straighten out my problem. As a matter of fact, he went to his car, made phone calls, and then put down his window just enough to talk, and made a series of clearly false and misleading statements.

I then had to drive to one of their "Customer Service Centers" where I was told that he was just following orders. I remember that same defense being used by the Nazis during the Nuremberg Trials. After the "customer service" representative got done doing whatever it was with the computer, I was told to go home, so I could sit in the cold, dark apartment and wait for PSE&G to show up and restore power.

Disconnection

I move in to a 3floor house went to PSE&G on yesterday put th account in my name i was told that the lights will be turn on before 12hours I called the rep said the tech have a grace period of twelve hours. Well its almost 24 hours and still no lights I have called PSE&G more than 5 times today and I am getting the same information. I have to wait even when I told them I have a baby I still have to wait.

I have never in my entire life seen this shit. They need to come up with a better way. This sucks totally

Billing

I was paying my bills online. I changed over banks and when I was paying the bill online it went to the old bank account I did not realize this until a few months went by and I was not able to pay online anymore when I called I got nothing but nasty people trying to help. And told me since I kept giving them a bad account I had to now mail in my money. So I told them to put me on the paper mails again. I went online and did this too. I still have NOT yet received a bill in the mail. BUT they can send me a notice telling me they are going to shut me off if I dont pay. If I had got a bill in the mail I would have. Now my bill is 426.18. I only know this because I had to go online and see what it was. I can not get anyone to help me with this and everyone I talk to gets nasty the minute I get upset when they tell me I should have been more careful about the account I used.

Poorly run company/ Doesn't show up

A Month or so ago PSE&G replaced 3 gas meters so the meter can be read wirelessly. They somehow dropped one of the gas meters from one of the apartment utility bills (when, I have no idea). So instead of fixing the billing issue, they just locked the gas meter. A tenant moved in and no gas for the stove. After several days of calls PSE&G fixed the billing and scheduled an appointment for between 8-12 to simply remove the lock. Of course they didn't show up. Called at 11:30 and they promised they would be out by noon. Didn't happen so I called again, waiting for 30 minutes on hold, to be told they aren't sure when someone would be out. Asked for a Supervisor and after another 15 minute wait, he apologized and said someone was on the way. To remove the lock takes less then a minute. Still waiting

Shut off

I have now been on hold with PSEG for 40 minutes when I was told the wait time was 10 minutes. My gas was shut off yesterday with no notice until it was shut off! I called PSEG and they stated that my "esteemed restore time" was sometime before midnight-it is now 24 hours later and it has not been reconnected. My payments are up to date. I was told it was shut off because someone called in a gas leak-bogus lie! They could not tell me when or where the call was made and said that they came out to check and shut it off because they are "required by law" LIARS! I have five children that I cannot make a hot meal for because of this while my husband is out of the country on business. I have always made a monthly payment! The Board of Utilities will be hearing about this!

Gas & Electric Bill

I am complaining about the BGSS Commodity charge ffom December 2012 to February 2013.In December the charge was .19400.In January 2013,the charge was .49038.In February,the charge was .29406.Why the drastic change?Also,why is the Electric portion of the bill sometimes 1 charge for KWH for distribution and several charges for BGS.Please explain this to me.

Shut off

I been living in my new apt for three months and not once has pse&g
Sent me a bill. I called them numerous times asking about my bill
And was told, " we apologize for the inconvenience we will mail out
Your bill". Well again a month went by and no bill. Called again same
Response. Today I come home only to find my lights have been cut
Off for non payment! So I called and their response was " unless you
Make a payment we can't turn light back on "! Ok so how much is my bill?
And how much do I need to pay? Well your bill is $900 and you need
To pay $469 but if you pay $ 200 on it we will turn back on and you
May need to get on a payment plan. Ok so I have to pay $200 to get
Turned back on but no bill was ever sent and I'm not guaranteed
This will be back on today? Really?? They are the worst!
