I published my first book with Publish America in 2010 shortly after that I published my second book before I realized what they where about. when I received my first book it was full of typos some of which I wasn't certain that I made but I left it go. i contacted them about fixing the typo's and I was charged to do so. when I received my second book it was the same situation I looked at my original work and the typos where not there but yet they appeared in the novel itself I was informed that I would be charged once again to fix the mistakes that where not made by me. For two years now I have received emails saying no royalties due. any services that I was charged for promotions and they did nothing. I had a book signing at borders books and books where order 2 months in advance the signing had to be canceled due to the books not arriving. I informed them that I wanted out of my contract and they offered to sell me rights back for 99 dollars. I receive at least a dozen emails a day wanting me to pay for a new promotion or deal of some sorts. I HAVE already lost enough money to this company and i refuse to lose anymore. I just want the rights to my books back so I can go on with my life. my name is Julie Bechtel the tittles of my books are man in the shadows, and before sunset my email address is [email protected]

this is the response from the ebay seller who is selling my book and has items in his had after my Royalties stated I have had no sells - So explain how this seller has physical copies of my book - Learning common sense this is the link to the seller on ebay

right now he has listed 3 available - before I have seen 1 or 2 available and now he has 3 for sell - so he has more more than three - Explain why I have not received a dollar for my book but yet you have sold copies - either your company can not keep good records or you are committing Fraud - either ways authors are being cheated out of royalties and the dream of being a success full author -I have proven what I have thought all along copies are being sold - He has copies in hand - what will happen when other PA find out that I have had books sold and no Royalties - Also I have a third book just released and I have not received the Physical copy per our contract

I've been at war with this shoddy company for a while now. They demanded an apology from me when I sent a scathing email to them. They don't have an apology for me for scamming me and I refuse to kow tow to their level. In a very stupid move, I did resign with them for my second book, thinking that maybe things would change. I have since asked them to let me out. No response other than a ludicrous, "What are you unhappy about?" DO THEY REALLY want me to answer that with brutal language? I just want this to end. They aren't making money out of me, as they state saying I have no sales, and I'm not making money on my own book. I didn't write it to have this happen. They have NO RIGHTS to try and sell me my own book back. They must be stopped by a court lawsuit or something. I just don't know.
