These retreats are advertised as being held at marcoola beach resort 8, 9, 10 april (from today). I arrived on Friday 8th April at Marcoola Beach Resort and the receptionist advised that the 'cooking thing' is at Atlantis next door. I'd seen that Marcoola Beach Resort had a Yoga Room and I thought maybe we would be using this room over the weekend - but the 'retreat' is not even held at Marcoola Beach Resort.

I drove next door to Atlantis, the receptionist there gave me Rancor's phone number. I called Rancor and he met me in the car park. He told me he had been holding the retreats here (at Atlantis) for 8 years - I wondered then why the venue for the weekend was advertised as being at Marcoola Beach Resort - maybe people would be reluctant to attend? I followed Rancor to an apartment - I knew the weekend was share accommodation - but to my surprise the whole weekend was to take place in two apartments with about 6 people in each apartment.

The apartment Rancor showed me to was small, a tiny kitchen and a large dinning table set up in the usual lounge dinning area of the apartment. The whole 'retreat' [sleepung, cooking, eating, living] was going to be in this small apartment with 5 or 6 other people. suggested at all! The othere thing that I noticed in the tiny kitchen was a stack of butane camp cookers (the ACCC has recalled these cookers after there has been incidences of them blowing up in peoples faces all around the country). I felt scared for the weekend ahead.

I phoned Rancor (as he had stuff to do and left me to it) and confirmed that yes we were to be cooking on these butane camp cookers for the retreat. I advised Rancor of the dangers of these cookers and that the ACCC has recalled them and that people have been seriously hurt by them. Rancor said he had used them for 8 years and he knew how to use them correctly. I again explained my concern about using the cookers and Rancor offered that I cook on the stove in the kitchen. I said no, that no-one should be using these cookers they are very dangerous and that I wanted a refund.

Rancor was adamant that he knew how to use the cookers and that they were ok. They are lethal and dangerous and Rancor should not be putting people in such danger!

The images advertising this cooking retreat show people cooking in a real kitchen with full stoves. This is very misleading, incorect and faulse. I want a full refund. And I do sincerely hope no-one gets hurt by the recalled lethal cookers. I was very concerned not for my own safety but for all those that go on these retreats!

It is at a venue that is different to the venue advertised. Held in a tiny apartment with 5 or 6 other people. Using lethal cooking equipment that have been recalled by the ACCC
