I wanted to give a gift of Orlando accommodations to friends. I re-joined RCI to do this as Hilton Grand Vacations had no available units for their dates.

They arrived at Legacy Vacation Club Orlando-Oaks, paid a cleaning fee because the stay was less than a week and were assigned a single unit. The unit was dirty, the bedspread stained, carpet stained, they were overlooking the dumpster—among other issues.

They returned to the front desk and were told they could “upgrade for a fee”. They refused to pay a fee, were assigned a 2 bedroom unit —across the street.
The 2nd unit was dirty, the carpet “looked like a murder scene”, the dryer door was hanging off, there was 1 bar stool, no shower curtain. At this point it was late, they sat up on the vinyl couch to sleep because the mattress was bowed and linens were dirty.
The pool was unusable due to fecal matter in the pool. People were smoking dope (pipes) on the stairs. The property was not cared for at all. It appears units are rented out and people live there.
They left after that 1 night. The desk personnel were rude
