Tom Sauers of Remax misrepresented the property I purchased. He claimed not to know the difference between a guest house and a legal, rentable house (ADU). He stated they did not know my guest house had a kitchen (illegal). He grabbed commissions on 125% of my retirement money because the cash bid was actually 25% over market value. He claimed I was bidding against other buyers but they would not pass my name to these "ghost buyers" when I tried to sell it back. He omitted many items of crucial information. He won against me in small claims court citing "as is" foreclosure and "buyer's due diligence." He turned me into a collection agency to gain more money from the claims judgement. I am unemployed and close to retirement age and hoped my little back house would bring in some income. This year-long ordeal has been a nightmare.
