Staff throwing away aclient food items that are new

I recently bought a package of OREOS for a work Christmas party in 2 weeks and there was nothing wrong with them and the staff throw them away in the trash and Kathy and Megan Chezik both of them don't care about wasting money down the drain and the staff also need to realize that they need to ask us aclients before they get rid of stuff that doesn't belong to them and replace it and Megan needs to be nice me and the Duncan house staff is being very rude to me and not realizing that I got home from a 3rd shift cleaning Job and I need to get some rest and they need to learn that I need my rest and Rescare CORP NEEDS TO take care of this because they are pissing me off.

ethical and moral issues

I was hired on with Rescare as a Residential Manager for a group home. When I got to the home. I had no training on the job to learn how to do my job properly. I had to figure it out as I go. My home was completely understaffed, the employee's and the QUID Manager was of questionable background. Paperwork was constantly being forged by staff and by QUID. I was stuck in a rock and a hard place. I was doing 130-145 hours every 2 weeks and was told I needed to do better. even when I adamant staff for a shift, my supervisor wanted me to be on the floor working and then take my work home and do that on my own time not being paid. The employee's would disappear outside 6-8 times a shift I would find them in there car smoking or in the bathroom. with no help from my supervisor in getting this under control. she told me to let my workers do what they wanted and stay on the clock and go personal shopping if I have to. I remind you i am learning my job by myself and no training, The QUID and an employee tried to cover up a Major Incident with a resident resulting in a break of a bone. It became so bad that I didn't feel save going to work because of how shady the employees and the QUID was becoming. even a few incidents of the QUID and a employee stalking a former employee as well as pushing other potential employees out for hostel environments. My pay was never right. I never received my last check and I found out that the QUID and a employee was going to frame me with medication going missing that hasn't yet. SOME THING needs done for the sake of the individuals. get the white trash a drug using abusers out and put some actual health care workers in there.

Employee Laquisha mckinnie

A lady named LAQUISHA MCKINNIE is currently employed at the SPRING LAKE PARK MINNESOTA location; This Lady is completely against all ethics that a person in her line of work is supposed to have! She fraternize inappropriately with immediate family members of residents family (having affairs) she also uses the money that is supposed to be for the residence on items for her own household and personal needs. She indulges in heavy marijuana uses and is a active alcoholic. I PERSONALLY seen her masturbating in her vehicle right in front of the residence (I was ultimately disgusted and she did not notice people were walking about the vicinities) she doesn’t have custody of her child .. just don’t want him (a person who is tired of raising her own child definitely should not be trusted with anyone else’s especially the vulnerable ones) her background (yes I checked) is spotted with theft and drug charges and she has the nerve to be the “lead”. She’s having sexual encounters with other employees ON THE JOB! She needs to immediately be terminated and I am beyond appalled at the fact that she was even employed at such an establishment! Until something is done I will continue to leave these reviews about the lack of care RESCARE has for whom they hire to take care of your loved one

Major issue with employee

Res(dont)Care

I have been employed at ResCare since March 19, 2018. Every since I was hired at this facility, there has not been an adequate amount staff in the homes to ensure quality of care and safety for the individuals with intellectual disability and although they provide one week of training, the staff that is assigned to the group homes are not educated or professional to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities. As Area Supervisor I had six Site Supervisors working in six of the homes. There was one particular Site Supervisor who was on the clock more than hours allowed, and did not do his job requirements in the home. I would complain about him and even wrote him up several times. I would share the issues I was having with the Program Manager Joan O'Connor, and she would appear to handle the problem, but would come tell me, he mentioned the word hostile. I would ask her, what does hostile mean? So I started having meetings with this Site Supervisor with her. He would still go to her after the meetings and say I was hostile. Instead of telling him of his job requirements and supporting me, she continued to come to me and say he say he used the word hostile. This Site Supervisor was known for purchasing groceries for the group home, and was taking the food to his home. Regardless of several complaints of him stealing time, stealing food, not taking clients to Doctor appointments, medication errors, lying about meeting the nurses in order to ensure the clients are receiving their medication, they just switched him to another area with the same position. I have complained about this issue since employment. As a Area Supervisor, my job is to make sure staff who is assigned to the homes and they are working their assigned shifts and that there is enough staff at the homes. There is never enough staff in the homes. For the past 30 days, one of the homes in particular has not had staff at the home. I have had to be the staff in the home with no pay. I had tried to staff the home with other staff from other homes, and it was unsuccessful. Today I quit the job because I received several calls today from Sylvia, from Day Program regarding an individual was burning leaves with a lighter, burning napkins with a lighter, and took another individuals headphones and would not give them back. She told me, I need to hurry and get the headphones back from the individual because the individuals headphones he took was ready to go. I explained to her, I was really busy and the same Youre Safe I am Safe training I received, she received and she should be able to get the headphones. I went to Day Program to get the headphones from the individual. I asked him, are these your headphones, he said no nigger they are not. I said, I need you to give me the headphones, because they don't belong to you, the individual was leaving. He refused to let the headphones go. I began the basket weave and attempted to release the headphones. He tore the headphones and started laughing, saying ha ha I broke the headphones. I took the headphones to the individual that was in his van, and apologized to him and said I was going to call the individuals parent to let her know what he did. He called me a nigger again, then called me a Bitch. I asked him what did you say? Then he said it again. The day worker Rosa said you are not to be calling staff a Bitch. He swung and hit me in the face, he swung and hit Rosa in the face, and then he spit at her, and she swung at him, and I am not for sure if it landed. He went through day program punching holes in the wall. I asked to call the Police because he attacked. The Police said they can't do anything because he has a diagnosis. This is one of the individuals who has the particular home without staff due to suspension. This individual has been a issue in more than one of the group homes since his admission. Although we ask what can we do, we are told to deal with it. How do you deal with a violent individual who punches walls. curses staff, use derogatory words and hit staff? I have complained to Joan about the behaviors in this particular. I have told her there are no male staff to help in this home and I am all alone dealing with these behaviors. She has not offered to come to the home to even talk to the clients. Joan is always asking where do I need help, I tell her this particular home, I've given the hours and days and she has not even come to the home and helped out. I have worked long hours with no pay. They offered no staff after numerous complaints of this. The Program Manager Joan O'Connor knew of this issue and did nothing. She would leave work early to prevent stepping in and helping out. She would not assist in finding me staff. I told Joan I was hurt by her, because she call herself friend and would watch me work day and night without helping. She knows I am sick and still offered no help. I was sick one day at home, and she texted me so much I had to come to work. I did say some very ugly words to Joan today, because of the hurt and disappointment she showed me since my first day of hire. Joan has asked me to cover her during survey. Completing assignment for survey she is supposed to complete. She has not once did her job as a Program Manager, but push her job on me to do, and would state it was mandatory. So she sees me working in the home, sick, long hours no pay, and then require I complete her assignments to look good for survey. Winifred Fowler, ED was also emailed of this. She would send me name and number of staff who's number didn't work anymore, and refused to come in because they were over worked and under paid. I was diagnoses with Bronchitis and still came to work. I have sent several emails requesting help. Winifred would only say I sent you a list of PRN staff (who's number was either disconnected, wrong or they refused to come to work). Upper Management must be investigated at this facility. Too many of them sitting back punishing, and running off Great staff, and allowing the staff who sit back, do nothing, complain ride hours on the clock. I've been employed since the 19th of March, and I have worked extra hours in other homes, and still have not gotten paid for it. I was told Kentucky has to approve those hours. What ashamed. I QUIT my job. I wasn't fired. No reason to fire a Area Supervisor, who not only worked her homes with no pay, put worked other clusters to make sure they had staff so their homes can be well taken care of. The staff that worked under me were great. They saw their Area Supervisor as a team player. I would give gas money, babysit, and feed them so they can come to work and have nothing to worry about. It is so hurtful that I did not get any support from Upper Management.

ResCare Kayla thesis

I spoke with Kayla Thesis about a ResCare direct patient support for the Conroe area. Kayla was very unprofessional especially when I told her I was not interested in the position she slammed the phone down before I could tell her a coworker who I was standing beside me was interested and that he put in his application to look him up. Everyone heard the conversation because she was on speaking phone and I and I'm getting statements. However, I tried calling back to let her know she ignored my calls three times, probable because she knew she was wrong. I will be taking this complaint higher because she was very unprofessional.

Sleeping/lazy workers & non-caring office staff

I've had Rescare home care for over 6 months & 1 worker was bringing "oils" into my home to "fix" my paralyzed stomach (among many health issues I have). These oils were made with liquor & the aide had asked to move in to one of my spare bedrooms. This worker is still with Rescare & NOTHING was done in regards to her actions. I spent over 6 weeks WITHOUT an aide & it did not seem to be a priority to Rescare. The aide I've had for about a month has spent the last 2 workdays SLEEPING on the job. When I asked what she was doing she said "waiting on her time to run out!" Rescare is NOT a good company & does NOT put their clients first. The way I've been treated by them is horrible & I would NOT recommend anyone to use them. I'm hurt & angry that they don't take responsibility for what THEIR workers do to their clients. TERRIBLE COMPANY, DON'T USE!!!

Sexual Affairs, etc

Brian Burnett, who now works for Rescare was previously employed by Alutiiq who ran Detroit Job Corps. He had several affairs with female trainees while he was in Detroit roughly for 2 years. His center phone records will prove this in his position overseeing career Development and even as Center Director.

When the Human Resource Manager started to investigate the complaints, Mr. Burnett fired her.

He is very immoral and should not be allowed to work with female students.

Lastly, I was a manager and left by my own accord.
