Resorts Anytime Scam

My husband and I took the tour for a time share this past March with Resorts Anytime but advised them we were not interested in buying. They then took us to speak to a sales rep on the vacation club for Resorts Anytime. We were told they had a large inventory of locations. We have a dog so pet friendly accomodations was very important to us. Rodney told us they had many units to accommodate our taking our pet. Also a free timeshare for one week anywhere we want was also an offer. We thought that the cost savings for one week could offset half the price to join the vacation club, Resorts Anytime. Well "ANYTIME" shoud be removed from their name. They also lied about pet friendly accomodations which other people have voiced this same complaint and rates they offer are the same as if we booked them without any vacation club. When we talked to Rodney, customer service manager, who personally told us if we call him in June, 9 months before we wanted to go to Hilton Head in March he could get us a house around $1,300 for a month. Well when we called him in June he stated he would never of told us this. Well both my husband and I were told that specifically by Rodney. He out and out lied to us. Now the trip incentive we were trying to book for San Francisco has been unsuccessful. We were required to contact 60 days before to book the trip. We had reached out to friends that we would be coming but as it turns out they could only offer us a place in Palm Springs almost 500 miles from San Francisco. Frustrated and upset we called Rodney who as you can guess cannot do anything. When asked about speaking to senior management he stated there was no one else to talk to over him. Continue miss leading information and out and out lies. If anyone knows who else we can talk to please let us know. We have not received the service and product we were promised we would receive, therefore we want to cancel the contract and stop payments.

Resorts Anytime is a scam

When on vacation with my grown children, I too was approached by Resorts Anytime with promises of gift cards & other freebies just for sitting through their short presentation. After several sale tactics, they finally accepted that I was not interested in their time share offer, they switched gears & offered their vacation membership. With the vacation membership, I was promised multiple options on vacation rentals & they could get accommodations for me with just 24 hours notice. I accepted this offer, which was not much less expensive than the time share, but since we often travel to HHI, it seemed like a good deal. Since then I have tried booking vacations through Resorts Anytime with no luck. One of their customer service reps finally admitted to me that all they do is google accommodations in the area to look for the best rate - which is something I can do myself at no charge, and often at better rates than they were able to find. Please do not be taken in by this scam!

Resorts Anytime

As I have read above, many people have the same complaint about Resorts Anytime. I thought I cancelled this and just found out almost four years later that I owe over $3000 and it is on my credit report as a bad debt. When I called, they told me that they have a signed agreement and that I owe the money. I am in the process of adoption and this looks really bad on my credit report. I really need help. Thank you.

Fighting for a refund

We recently visited Hilton Head on a promotional trip where we agreed to spend 90 minutes of our trip listening to a Time Share presentation. Of course it sounded too good to be true but we finally said no. We were then escorted to another suite supposedly to get our "free gifts" and settle out. We were led to a table where we spent another hour being convinced to sign up for a travel club membership which was supposedly "a better deal" than becoming a time share owner. We were shown a catalogue with all sorts of travel locations, beautiful destinations, cruises, etc. It sounded really good and we finally agreed. Once we got back to our hotel, my husband began to have second thoughts. We headed back over to the office. We were told the sales person we met with had left for the day, but we could come back tomorrow. We went back the next day to make sure we could get this deal cancelled and refunded. We turned in all the "freebies" we received. We were told we had 72 hours to send the request to cancel via certified mail. We went to post office and mailed a request just as we were told. Surprisingly, the postal worker who handled our purchase knew exactly what we were doing. He told us that he sees so many people everyday who agreed to the travel deal and then later came to their senses and came to the post office to cancel. We were shocked! He and another postal worker said they see it on a regular basis. We have proof of our delivery within the 72hrs, but the resort is denying they received it. Even with a signature on the certified mailing, they are denying they received it. We have been back from our for 2 weeks and are still fighting to get a refund.
PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!

BEWARE OF RESORTS ANYTIME

We visted Hilton Head Island in March 2015. After attending a presentation by Coral Resorts, aimed at enticing buyers to purchase a timeshare, which we declined, we were led by the Coral Resorts rep to another station. We were misinformed that the purpose of this final station was for a survey. This happened to be the Resorts Anytime sales rep's corner. The supposed survey was the question, "how did you like what you saw" Within 2 minutes he started to sell us his product which seemed like a good deal and a better alternative to the timeshare, with no points, deed etc, He then showed us a website with lots of amazing travel deals which we would only have access to after 15 days. Note carefully, the buyer has only 72 hours to cancel the contract, by which time you will not have gained access to the website. After viewing these sites on his ipad, we thought it was a viable option but needed to think more about it, The salesman quickly threw in a further reduction in the price and a free 4 night/5 day cruise for two, if we would purchase the membership immediately. Knowing we had an option to cancel within 72 hrs and more so that we still had 4 more days of vacation, we signed up for the deal. Upon reviewing the package closely and the negative comments from customers on line, we decide to cancel our membership. We returned to the sales office within 24 hours of signing the contract with our letter in hand requesting a a cancellation. We were told that we had to go to the post office and send the letter by certified mail as per the contract. HOW RIDICULOUS!! A gimmic to delay the cancellation timeframe to beyond the 72 hour legal limit. We spent another hour arguing with at least 4 different sales reps including someone who called himself a manager to try and get our refund. The salesman we had dealt with the previous day became very rude and angry and walked away stating he could not help. We finally kept insisting that a letter in hand was worth more than certified mail and refused to leave until we had some resolution on the issue. We were finally directed to a gentleman ( works with customer service) who agreed to refund our money. We were lucky to have still been on the Island to deal with this. Had we left before trying to cancel, it would have been a nightmare.
The purpose of posting this is to make consumers aware of the potential pitfalls in dealing with this company.

Exchanged Coral Reef resort for a membership

I was in Hilton Head last February and exchanged by Coral Reef timeshare for a membership in Resorts Anytime. I paid $4089 and Resort Anytime bought by timeshare for $3030 so my net cost would have been just over $1000. The $3030 cheque was supposed to be mailed to me within 60 days. I have not seen anything yet and my phone calls and emails have not been answered.

Does anybody know if Resorts Anytime is a scam? Did I loose all my money? DO I have any recourses?

Exchanged Coral Reef resort for a membership

I visited Hilton Head Islands in May 2011 and after a presentation with Coral Resorts, a disappointed sales rep led us to the close out station where we were offered a Vacation Membership with Resorts Anytime. We were shown a website of luxurious destinations and resorts--no deed and no points, just wholesale rates on resorts and condos. We thought this was a great deal and puchased the membership. After receiving access to the website, we realized we had been scammed. There were not nearly as many options for destinations and the resorts and condos were no cheaper than going directly through the resort. I did some research and found that the cruises are priced above the Cruises Only rate by over $500.00 even though Resorts Anytime guarantees the lowest rates!! Rodney Yurco has not returned my calls or emails and once I finally got him on the phone, he refused to accept the misrepresentation of their services and relinquish me from the contract -- even though their policy of three days does not give you a chance to review the website since your log-in information is not sent until 15 days later.

I am fighting this as we speak and talking with a lawyer. If anyone has been successful in getting your money back, please let me know. I am doing all I can to make sure everyone knows that Resorts Anytime is a rip off!
