Abuse of management

I had been a welcomed member at the Fair Lawn Retrofitness for 4 1/2 years. I enjoyed the intensive workout in the weight room and on the state of the art cardio machines. I also liked the classes, the smoothies of the week specials, and watching the movies of the day. It was also affordable and near my home. The Retrofitness was one of my favorite gyms. The negatives. The horrible treatment and bad business practices of the managers ruined my membership and experience with the Retrofitness. When things went wrong, the managers Andew and Samantha stopped being nice to me. They no longer wanted me as a customer. They turned my positive experience with the Retrofitness into a nightmare. They used their positions against me and unjustly terminated my membership out of malice. They exploited their power and fabricated things about me in order to do it. They did this behind my back and without my consent. No one notified me what was going on with my membership. I was shocked. Good thing I did not return to the gym and found out on my own. Being the gym is privately owned, I could not get anyone to help save my membership. Andrew and Samantha were able to get away with it. I got hurt by their cruelty. Andrew and Samantha humiliated me to the gym. This horror happened shortly after I made another complaint against the rude and annoying night cleaning guy who was stalking me and who also became a nightmare. More than once, he had lost his temper. Management never even cared to apologize for the bad experiences I had with him. There were some incidences at the front desk area and other areas of the gym that had disturbed me about the cleaning guy. The problem with him escalated into stalking and it became repeated. On June 11, when I approached the front desk to pick up my smoothie and pay for it, I was not able to avoid a problem with the cleaning guy. He stalked me again. After I had made another complaint about the cleaning guy, I received nasty emails from Andrew and Samantha. They verbally attacked me, discredited the complaint, scapegoated me and sided with the cleaning guy. They also oppressed me from making any further complaints about the cleaning guy. Assumed that Andrew would get this guy to leave me alone which he had failed to do. When Andrew got Samantha involved, she came after me. Complaining to customer service only made things worse. Customer Service forwarded the complaint to management. It gave them ammunition to use against me and another excuse to terminate my membership. I did not realize that Andrew and Samantha were going to get cruel. They violated the cancellation policies. I was a well behaved member and an innocent victim who just came to the gym to have a peaceful work out. Andrew also started a fight with me when I complained about the language of an American movie being changed to Spanish. He said I would have to watch it in English subtitles. He implied that I was a racist. He embarrassed me to the gym and the front desk. He blew things out of proportion. He got me very upset. I had to go to the locker room just to get away from him. Andrew and I never spoke again at the gym. He no longer treated me as a welcomed member. I did not deserve this horrible and abusive treatment from Andrew and Samantha. They caused me suffering. I have not felt comfortable going back to gym since June 11, but I also did not want to cancel my membership. I had hoped things would cool off. Unfortunately my membership was involuntarily cancelled. No one cared when I complained about it. Beware of the training packages and the bad business practices. Read on the websites that members who signed up for training packages were charged 1400 dollars and got subjected to unauthorized charges. Also read that collections came after members who had cancelled their memberships. The staff told the members that their memberships were cancelled and then they did not put it through. Two members that I recently spoke to said that they cancelled their memberships the way they were suppose to and collections also came after them with a bill. Other members have complained on the Better Business Bureau, Google, and Yelp website about Samantha Lopez's poor customer service and bad attitude and that she was very abusive and nasty. The owner only fired Jackie on the Undercover Boss instead of Samantha.
