In 2008 my family went on vacation in the Bahamas. We were lured into the Royal Holiday presentation with the promise of a free cruise, that never happened.

When we arrived, we watched a video, and were given a tour. And then were handed off to a salesman, Julian. He combine high pressure sales with shots of alcohol. My mother agreed to it, but he had my sister and I sign the contract too. I was black out drunk and have no memory of signing the contract. We tried to back out of the contract before we left the Bahamas, but they said it was too late.

My mom recently passed away, and now they are expecting me and my sister to take over the 30 year contract.

I found the contract, and with it is a hand written contract, promising a vacation to Rome. This never happened.

The sales tactics were entirely unethical (if not illegal). The annual amount they are asking for is 3x the original amount (4x if you factor in the exchange rate), and I can’t afford it, nor do I even want it. I haven’t used the club, nor do I have any plans to. I am refusing to pay for it. They are now threatening to affect my credit rating.

Please help if you can.
