Savings Catcher is a joke. Practically nothing is comped that any normal person purchases. They do not compare ALL of the local competitors like Aldi and Allens because they advertise food and SC doesn't compare prices on these items. Out of the $235 I spent on10/09 I got a savings of $.95 cents. If the stores still compared ads I could have gotten grapes for #1.78 from Harps (which they do have on the list of stores that they cover) or Aldi for $.79. I checked their FAQ and it would be shorter list if they just left off what they do not cover and only listed what they do cover. This is costing Walmart sales and customers. Besides not getting what the first page of their app says you will get ( any advertised price that is lower and a rebate on a gift card) they do not state that they get to pick the competitors, will not cover much of anything, and generally are totally useless. I used to work in this industry and Savings Catcher smacks of the old "bait and switch" ....promise them anything and deliver nothing much. I think this scam is beneath what Sam Walton intended for Walmart to do for its customers. At least they stopped advertising "one stop shopping". Maybe someone should go to the FTC website and file a complaint to get some attention to this pathetic attempt by Walmart to "help" their customers "save more, live better".
