Parts issue

60154-0002704-02 Has been on back ordered for 3 months, hence my refrigerator has been broken for that long. Plus when the part broke it flooded my kitchen floor, and Sears is impossible to contact about this.

795.74025.411 Kenmore Elite 29.8 French door fridge

Kenmore Elite French doors refrigerator model 74025. LG linear compressor silently died after 4 years (Jul 2015 - Aug 2019). The fridge got unattended for 2 weeks during vacation and got such bad rotten smell that I decided to replace it.

ADVICE: Buy a wireless thermometer for $20 and get a security camera (i.e. Wyze camera for $25) react on alarm from it to send you notification ( This way you can save yourself $2.5k of a new fridge.

Shopped around and ended up with the same fridge as the best value for money and convenient controls, newer model 74305. Was told be a Sears repairmen that from Nov 2019 the newer model got LG compressor changed to Panasonic to fix the reliability problem.

For now I’m waiting for compressor to fail after 4 years and get it replaced under warranty.

Kenmore Elite Refrigerator Compressor Failure

We have a Sears Elite Refrigerator with a broken compressor (parts under warranty) & it is a very well known LG parts issue. Called Sears 5.07.18 to report failure, many issues since then, current appointment to repair is 7.12.18! Over 9 weeks without a fridge, for a part under warranty, and a known part issue. We are flabbergasted, frustrated, and angry! Customer service is a big fat zero.

kenmore refrigerator intermal light will not shut off

Do you know if there is a current class action lawsuit regarding the Kenmore Elite refrigerator (French door model). Their tech showed up yesterday (12/22) and demanded proof that the light was staying on and when we showed him the video we took inside of the fridg, he claimed it was too small to prove the light was on .. he would not accept the fact that the light cover (plastic) was melted and bowed in on one side. I refused to pay for the ridiculous service call, since he did nothing except argue with me that the refrigerator light was defective and I could not prove it (I explained that it was intermittent). I even showed him emails from Sears Home Service chat support (dated 12/18) stating the part was a known defect and covered by a lifetime warranty. Unbelievable. They were supposed to show up today 12/23 (after numerous calls to sears Customer Solutions) but did not make their appointment, nor did they call. I don't think they will show up and need an alternative solution to fix the problem. I don't want it to burn my house down, as it has already ruined food in the refrigerator. The tech had the nerve to compare the intermittent light problem with taking in a car for repair and proving there is a problem to be fixed. I don't think, for example, that waiting for an airbag to explode in your face, then taking in the car is the right approach to fix a known product problem . . .apparently Sears technicians believe it is . . .please help I do not want the product danger, stress nor insult of dealing with Sears technicians, but need the problem fixed. Thank you, Yvonne Peru
