Kenmore Elite Washer -Rusting bleach dispenser

I never!!! never!! use BLEACH!! I have a septic and was told never to use bleach! My Sears Kenmore Elite washer is rusting out around the bleach dispenser area! What can be done to fix this problem! I purchased my washer and dryer Sept 2012. Less than 5 years old and rusting out!
